Johannes Söderberg
Johannes is from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, and is a producer at Goo. “In short, my job at Goo is to enable the developers of the Goo Studio to create truly remarkable stuff! I do this by identifying and removing impediments for my team members as well as being the point of contact for the projects that I am involved in.”
Johannes says the best thing about working with Goo is that “it enables me to contribute to a product that fuels great many individuals' passion of making interactive media such as games or animated movies!” His favorite feature in Goo Create is the State Machine; “It enables me to disguise myself as a skillful programmer.”
Johannes collects autographs from “inspiring musicians on my driver license(s). Oh! I was also Lucia of the most beautiful Lucia procession once.”
There he is!
His favorite game is Super Metroid on SNES, but he’s having a much harder time choosing a favorite song. “To pinpoint a single best song is extremely difficult for me but if I were to narrow it down to a single album it would probably be Hot Fuss by The Killers. This is probably the closest to "Perfect" an album could ever be for me.” He gave us 4 candidates for "Best Song" though :)

Hedvig Marano
Hedvig is from Stockholm, Sweden, and is our Event Coordinator at Goo. She's the one keeping track of relevant conferences, events and trade shows for Goo to participate in or visit. She's also coordinating the planning and information on events, as well as working with our presence at local events.
Hedvig says the best part of working at Goo is the "free soft drinks, obviously just kidding, but not really". But also the "great people, and the feeling that there are lots of possible directions and exciting prospects for Goo on the horizon; that we are growing and always in motion, so to speak."
She says she loves Goo Create because "it is accessible even for someone like me, who knows very little about programming and such." Also, Hedvig told us she has "an obscure national championship title", but she refuses to tell us what it is! Gaah!
Her favorite song? Well, currently it's Tether (Chvrches), Do It Again (Robyn & Röyksopp), Svär på min mamma (Silvana Imam) and Hard to Hold (RAC feat. Tegan & Sara). Favorite game then? "I'm embarrassed to admit I don't really play any games, but I used to like PacMan, Bomb Sweeper and Lemmings when I was little, if that counts?" Of course it counts!

For the last ten years he’s been doing mostly software development within various industries: automotive, space and now web. “After a two year diversion into management consulting I got things together again and started at Goo.”
According to Jon, the best parts of working at Goo are ”the people and the tech”. His favourite feature in Create is the converter; “It doesn't make much noise, but a simple drag-n-drop will open the door for your existing offline 3D assets to a new and prosperous life on the web.”
Jon was once a pilot and flew airplanes for recreation; “Now I mostly kitesurf.” He says he’s not much of a gamer, but “every couple of years I see a title I want to play and I buy a console, play it intensely for a week or two, then sell it. The latest instance of that was a PS3 with The Last of Us.”

Simon Howe
Simon is from Sydney, Australia, and is a developer here at Goo. Before joining us he did data visualisation and the web, graphics and networks. “I moved up from Stockholm last year from Berlin where I was writing software for debugging VOIP networks. Pretty graphs and pictures of calls flowing through the system. In Sydney I was building the next big social network after finishing of Bachelor in Computer Science at UNSW.”
Simon’s favourite feature in Create is the State Machine; “We simplified it a lot recently, but I love how easy it is to add interactivity and behavior there. So quick to realize your designs with that thing sometimes.” In the Engine he’s “quickly growing fond of our PolyLine tools. There are some awesome utils for extruding, lathing and combining paths together into surfaces. Really easy to transform data points into interesting geometry.”
A random fact about Simon is that he saw his first shark while snorkling on Holiday this year. “He looked at me and then cruised off. Had to leave Australia to find a shark.” His favourite games? “Love Zelda for its gorgeous worlds that envelop you, Portal for its humour and surprises.”
