So, I think my Belos fixation just suddenly ended— which sucks a bit since in a few months it would have been a four year anniversary of becoming interested in him.
Anyway, I probably won’t end up posting here anymore, not unless the fixation returns.
Goodbye for now!!

Magical Mountain is... quite lonely. Scar doesn't think he's ever felt this lonely before. He has just about anything he could want up here, the enchanter, his magic crystals, food and supplies...
But it doesn't feel the same. Even when Joel was around and green or yellow, it still felt wrong. Not even his succumbing to the red mist felt right. In a way, it may have been familiar, yet still different.
There's a void in him in this game, something that he isn't sure he could ever fill. He knows what's missing, is fully aware of exactly what it is.
Perhaps it's more accurate to say it's a who, rather than a what.
He sees the source of his loneliness often, crosses paths with him every now and then. They've ran into each other quite a bit (even at the start, he was one of the first people Scar had found. He remembered his heart leaping in his chest, a sort of grim thrill filling him. He had been fully ready to stay by his side again. But he... didn't want that).
Magical Mountain is lonely.
Except right now, there is someone here with him. Right now, it is an old friend. Or perhaps an old ghost is a better term for it.
Seated on a chest is someone he hasn't seen in a very long while, not since they were in the desert. His ashen blond hair is matted and messy. His yellow eyes are tired, bruising circles underneath them. His wings look like they've seen better days, and Scar can't help but wonder when the last time he preened them was.
This is not a familiar scene to either of them, yet in a way, it is.
Scar is yellow, rather than red.
Grian is yellow, rather than green.
Perhaps it is selfish to think that Scar is glad for the circumstances that have led Grian to him. A part of his soul that had been yearning reaching for the other, has been satisfied, just for now. For now, he has the familiar warmth of Grian's body beside him, and he will savor it for as long as he can.
From the corner of his eye, he looks at the avian. Grian pointedly does not look at him as he loads an arrow on his crossbow. He stays perched on his chest, and he doesn't speak.
Scar ignores the way his chest aches with pain. He ignores the part of his mind that wants to approach the other and hold him, to take Grian and bring him somewhere familiar again (not that he even could. There are no deserts here. He hasn't seen one in a quite some time).
He looks at Grian, and he does not voice any of the thoughts he wants. He does not mention how much he's missed the other, or how lonely it's been without him. He does not say "Is there anything I can do to convince you to stay?" Because he knows Grian will not.
Grian won't even look at him.
Instead, he picks something safer. "When's the last time you slept?" He cringes at how much sincerity slips into his voice, how much concern escapes him.
Grian still doesn't look at him, "It doesn't matter." He says, and despite the other being in the room with him, Scar feels himself sink just a bit further into his growing pit of loneliness. He doesn't ask for help getting out. He knows Grian will let him drown.
