I just tried to correct our company’s address on Google Maps and ended up creating a “My Business” Google+ page in the process.

We already had a Google+ profile, but this “My Business” page is also marked as a “verified local business”.

We would prefer to only maintain a single profile and I’m not really sure why…

Facebook has this feature somewhere in the menus/options, where you can switch between your normal account and your Page. I can’t seem to find anything to activate it on Google Plus.

I know it is not only the number of followers.

But it is somehow related with +1s on page’s posts, page’s followers and page’s +1s.

Also sometimes I note that the count decreases, not sure if it is related to the bug mentioned in this article.
