If i stuck my hand in a mola mola's mouth would it be able to hurt me. Bc when watching that video thats all i want to do. Pat the flap.
Good question! Sunfish teeth are fused together into a beak and they can't fully close their mouths due to this, but a whole human hand ought to be big enough to be chomped upon, hmm...
Googling the question, Yachts and Yachting dot com gave me this: "Despite their size, sunfish don't pose a threat to humans, although given the jaw muscles and teeth fused into something like an industrial bolt cutter, you don't want to go putting your fingers anywhere near the mouth." Other sources say they're harmless to us (unless one leaps on you) but that is probably assuming you don't put your hand in their fish, squid and crustacean (the latter famously known for having hard shells) eating parts.
But worry not! You may pet them elsewhere. How about on their very big forehead, or on the side of the body!
