Lush Gorilla Perfume - The Hairdresser’s Husband Someone recently asked me what my favorite Lush perfume of all time is. I told them my top three Lush perfumes of all time were/are: 1. Keep It Fluffy 2. Fever 3. The Hairdresser’s Husband. I have a lot of Lush perfumes and I like almost all of them. But those three listed above always stand out in my mind as the top three that are on the shorter list of Lush perfumes that i *love*. So this got me thinking about “The Hairdresser’s Husband” Lush Gorilla perfume. It was made a couple of years ago on the Uk and/or Australian customer forums only, for a very brief time. I’ll post a short video following (at the top) inwhich you’ll hear the owner of Lush Ltd, Mark Contantine, talk about his idea for The Hairdresser’s Husband perfume. It’s interesting to note that Mark Constantine started his career as a hairdresser. And how that ties in with an older movie called “The Hairdresser’s Husband”. It’s a gorgeous blend of vanilla, grapefruit, orange flower and lemon. I like it more than even Lush “HQ” or “29 High Street” perfumes. Hairdresser’s Husband is more airy, yet less powdery to my nose than 29 High Street. It’s Fruity, like a glass of bubbly, citrus sunshine, mixed with the scent of a bridal bouquet of orange blossoms. Joyous, and in love. Not too airy, as in weak or ‘light’. Airy like a flight of fancy. Lovely, innocent, whimsical. I have a little less than 2/3 of my bottle left. I try not to think about the day that it will be all gone. Maybe someday, somewhere Lush will make this lovely scent available to purchase again.
