𝐉𝐨𝐧
・Stiffened when you showed him.
・He thought they were battle scars
・Jon wasn’t very good at talking about the aftermath of traumatic events - only good at surviving them
・But he knew you were opening up; being vulnerable. And that’s never easy. So he thought you were being really brave -
・He came and sat beside you on the bed, slipping his hands into yours.
・You rested your head against his shoulder and he rested his head against yours
“Whenever you want to talk ... about it. You, we, can.”
・You huffed out a laugh and squeezed his hand. He squeezed back. and ran a thumb over the back of your hand.
・The fire burned bright in the fireplace, sparks popping here and there
・And even in the silence, you felt comfortable. You knew Jon meant it. He didn’t want you to tell him if you weren’t ready. Because he knew he was spending the rest of his life with you.
・So there was no rush. No need to feel pressured.
・When you were ready, you would tell him, but for right now. You just needed to take it slow.
𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐲
・Sympathetic
・Wanted to touch and trace every part of your injuries
・Asked questions but then apologised if she was being too forward
“You can tell me whenever you’re ready, I’m sorry if I’m bringing up old memories-”
“No, no, it’s okay. I knew you would be curious, it’s fair for you to have questions.”
・She led you over to the bench in her room that was infront of a large window. The sun was setting and although the view was breathtaking, Dany couldn’t keep her eyes off of you
・She hadn’t heard of self-harm; not in this sense. She knew people took risky behaviours, drank, took poppy of the fields to feel numb. But she didn’t know of this.
・Dany had judged when she was younger, but now ... she understood that the world was brutal, and unforgiving.
・Her legs wrapped around your waist as yours did the same to hers.
・You showed her every injury and at first she wanted to know how you did it, but after a while ... it was like she couldn’t stomach it
・Not you. She had seen horrors, unimaginable horrors, but you... not you.
“I will do everything in my power to make sure you never feel like that again.”
・Her words hit hard, and you let your tears slip freely
・She held out her hand and you lent your cheek against it
“I love you, ñuha prūmia,” (I love you, my heart in High Valyrian)
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫
・Not much for words
・He thought they were scars someone had given you
・And you thought, ‘fuck it, he’ll have to find out one day.’
・So you explained it to him, trying your best to keep your tone light.
“...I did it to myself.”
・Sandor didn’t really react... he didn’t shake his head, or yell, or berate you.
・It took him a few minutes to process it, but he actually ... understood. On some level, he identified with that type of pai.
・ Not that you could see it on his face though. He looked, well, very dazed, but sad
・You were about to explain more about it, when his next actions shocked you.
・Sandor, the Hound, the man who killed, maimed and slaughtered. Got up, walked over to you and took your head in his hands
・He didn’t say anything, just looked into your eyes.
・And ever so slowly, he moved his forehead to rest to yours. His nose brushed your own, and then he leant down to wrap his arms around you and shifted his head to your neck.
・He held you, in this sort of protective cocoon.
・Like he was saying the world can’t get to you now
・That pain will never be felt again
・And you wrapped your arms around his middle and pushed yourself against him. Wanting to melt into his arms.
𝐀𝐫𝐲𝐚
・Blinked. Once, twice, three times.
・And then her eyes softened and her head moved to one side
“The world is cruel, but I wish it had spared you.”
・You couldn’t meet her eyes, because they had teared up and you couldn’t stop them from falling
・Shaking your head softly, you slumped to the ground and leaned against the cold wall.
Whispering, you said, “It didn’t spare me.”
・And you started to sob
・With light footsteps, she ran over to you and sank to her knees
・Looking around she found something you could use to blow your nose and wipe your eyes
・Then she stayed with you, unmoving, until you were ready to talk
“I want to know everything. When you’re ready.”
・You shifted so your head was in her lap and she stroked the hair out of your face.
・Although she wasn’t the best with physical affection, she remembered what her mother did to her when she was young. She also remembered how safe, and how loved she felt.
・So she stroked your hair and gently ran her fingertips over your features.
・Even if this was how you fell asleep, she would stay in this position until you woke
𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞
・Perplexed and had a lot of questions about your scars, but was still supportive.
“You never sought any help from the maesters?”
You scoffed, “and what good could a bunch of old men do? They would ask questions and my mind wasn’t ... it couldn’t handle any questions.”
・He nodded and sat on the chair, facing opposite you.
“I guess we all do some self-damage in one way or another.”
・You were a bit embarrassed in bringing it up. Like you had a secret that could ruin how Jaime saw you
“I think your way is probably the healthiest...” He said and walked up to you
・Jaime gave you the lightest, most tender kiss, then closed his eyes and lent his head against yours.
・Wrapping his arms around you, he swayed from side to side (knowing that movement calmed you down)
“Safe. You’re safe with me. Now and forever.”
・You nuzzled into his neck and took a deep breath in.
・He rubbed up and down your spine, while planting a kiss on your cheek
・You knew Jaime brought this warm light with him, wherever he went. Especially when he was with you.
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚
・Is the most understanding, because during the times in King’s Landing then being sent to the Bolton’s... she did indulge in self harm
・It was in places that no one would see
・So when you opened up about your own self-harm, she immediately went to you, and held you in her arms.
“I understand, I understand,” she said over and over, stroking your hair and holding you to her chest
・You could feel her heartbeat; steady and strong.
・You didn’t notice when the tears started to fall, but they did - and didn’t stop until someone knocked on her door, asking if you wanted dinner
・She had looked to you and you had shaken your head
“No thank you,” Sansa called out and you heard the shuffle of feet leaving the corridoor
・That night Sansa had opened up about her own experiences and you both cried in each other’s arms
・You stroked each other’s faces and cried about the hurt that you both endured. Even at times you held the other as they screamed into a pillow (it’s liberating trust me)
𝐏𝐨𝐝
・He was so sad
・But tried his best not to show it, but you caught a glimpse of it.
・So SO SO SUPPORTIVE
“Are you still doing it now? Have you got a way to stop doing it? Should we make some sort of ... plan?”
・Knows exacty how you’re feeling just by looking at you - even when you’re trying to conceal you’re true feelings. He just ... knows.
・Has a plan for you, even if you can’t think of one
・There’s herbal remedies if you can’t sleep, bandages and salves in case you do self-harm again
・He even learned how to stitch in case ... well ... you know
・Absolutely no judgement when you told him about the self-harm. He had tears in his eyes, and knelt beside you as you told him everything
・Didn’t interrupt you, or make you feel as though it was burdening him
“I want to know everything about you. You mean the world to me.”
・Is more upset that you had to go through certain experiences / feelings. Wish he could have been there to support you during those times
・Only asks questions when he gets your consent to do so
・Is so steady with the questions as well
・Holds you tight every night after that, and when he’s away, he’ll write little reminders and notes so he doesn’t feel so far away
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐲
・Didn’t fully understand what you meant, because self harm was a foreign thought to her.
・She always had a plan, or her thoughts were always certain. Her grandmother helped with that, because of how grounded and honest she was with/for Margaery
・It was a bit intimidating telling her but you knew you had to at some point. And in your mind, you thought this would make or break your relationship
・You were honest and told Margaery exactly that - and she was shocked
“My dear, my absolute love,” she held your hands in hers and put them to her lips, “I love you. And this is not ... there is nothing wrong with how you expressed yourself. You did what you had to, to survive.”
・Tears sprung in your eyes when she said that
・Because that’s exactly what these scars were - memories of a time when all you could control was your self harm.
・Asked when was the last time you did it and if you were still doing it. If you were still, then she would ask to see - in case of infection or if the maester needed to get involved
・Then she promised you that you would never need to self-harm again
𝐎𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐧
・Kissed you, every part of you
“I am so sorry you felt so ... low, that you felt like you had to do this to yourself.”
・Led you to the bed and brought over the wash bowl, wash cloth, called for food and wine
“You will never feel like that again, I promise.”
・He kissed the inside of your palms and held them to his face, where he looked you in the eyes and smiled sadly
・Washed you from head to toe, (every part of you), wiped your face and helped you move into bed
・He held you close, bringing you the cup of wine and making you a plate of food so you didn’t have to get up
“Tell me whatever you wish to.”
・He was so tender and caring
・Oberyn truly loved you, every part of you, and not just superficially. But the whole of you. Your personality, your thoughts, memories and experiences. Everything that made you, you.
Brienne Of Tarth: Your first kiss with Brienne would be tender, soft and shy. It was unclear whether it was you or her that made the first move, but you both remember it fondly.
Bronn: Your first kiss with Bronn was rather rough and sloppy. It was very heat of the moment with him and it took you by surprise. It wasn’t awful, but you do find yourself wishing for a do over.
Catelyn Stark: With Catelyn, your first kiss was hesitant, with you asking her permission so many times that she leaned in and kissed you herself.
Cersei Lannister: Even during your first kiss with Cersei, she was possessive. She held your chin in her hand and held you in the kiss until she decided it was over.
Daenerys Targaryen: Daenerys took it upon herself to kiss you that first time. She got sick of waiting for you to come to her. She was gentle with you, and kind and you wondered why you’d waited so long.
Jaime Lannister: Jaime timed your first kiss just right. It was absolutely perfect. He displayed a bit of heroics and then dipped you into the most breathtaking kiss.
Jorah Mormont: Jorah was very soft with you during that first kiss. He cupped your cheek and pulled you in slowly, giving you plenty of time and room to refuse him if you chose, but you melted into his sweet kiss instead.
Melisandre: There was passion behind your first kiss with Melisandre. She took control, practically stealing the breath from your lungs before she pulled away. And you immediately wanted to do it again.
Petyr Baelish: When Petyr first kissed you, he held you firmly against him, intent on getting every last second out of the kiss in case you refused to let him have a second.
Tyrion Lannister: Tyrion took your first kiss very seriously. He wanted it to be good and memorable. It was that and more. You lost yourself in it and it’s the one kiss you’ll never forget.

...their reaction to you giving birth to twin boys (when the characters already love the reader very much).
(I rambled? sorry not sorry lmao hope it’s what you wanted!)
(GIFS ARENT MINE)
Pt 2
Tywin Lannister
Haunted by the death of Joanna, Lord Tywin Lannister would be VERY cautious and protective of you throughout your entire pregnancy. When the time came for you to go to the birthing bed, Tywin is right there beside you refusing to wait in the hall as he had done with his elder three children. Your hand gripped tightly in his own, his entire focus is on the bed between your legs - watching for any excessive amount of bleeding (as his beloved first wife had suffered from). Tywin would whisper words of encouragement and praise if the labor persisted for more than a few hours, reminding you that you’re a lioness. When the first babe comes and the Maester announces it’s a boy, Tywin doesn’t even try to hide his smirk and leans over to kiss your lips - thanking you low enough for only you to hear - and then he gets the surprise of his life when he’s told there’s another. Several moments later and both of you are holding a baby each, the Lord of Casterly Rock staring down with barely hidden shock at the baby boy in his arms. Twins. Twin boys. Not one heir. But two.
“I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me.” It’s the closest thing to praise he could give to you in that moment as he kissed your lips once more, his smile softening into a deep fondness he had only shared for one other before you but which was just as strong for you as it had been for her.
Roose Bolton
Lord Roose Bolton wasn’t troubled by the fact his previous wife had died in childhood. It happened all over the world and Roose had never seen a reason to fret over it. And then he married you and he fell for you. The news of you being pregnant was a joyous occasion even if he constantly teased you about how infant sons could be the death of a House. Roose would be very hands on during the delivery, helping his Maester in any way possible to ensure you safely through it. He knew that he cared deeply for you, but it still surprised him at how concerned he was for you. He wasn’t really the type to show emotions so openly. When the first boy was born, Roose took the babe and cleaned it himself. He counted fingers and toes and wrapped it in one of the blankets you had knitted. And then he heard the Maester mention a second baby and Roose turned, eyes wide ever so slightly as he watched you bolt up in bed, screaming. Moments later a second wailing filled the room. Twins? You had given him twins? Roose couldn’t remember if there had ever been twins in the Bolton family.
“Both boys, My Lord.” the Maester’s words barely registered as Roose crossed the room and gently handed the already cleaned babe over to you, and then he took the second, staring down at him with a smirk.
Roose cleaned the second as he had the first and wrapped him in a blanket to keep him warm, and then he joined his wife on the bed as the Maester cleaned you up. “Twin boys. You’ve outdone yourself.” he murmured, kissing your forehead. He was definitely proud of you (and proud of himself for his choice in wife).
Stannis Baratheon
Lord Stannis Baratheon had loved you from the moment you married. Despite being awkward around women, he had done his best to show you his feelings (often through gifts like he had seen his Father do for his Mother). Early in your marriage, he had hopes for a handful of children. A son, a few spares, and a daughter or two if the gods he didn’t believe in deemed him worthy. When Shireen was all who came, Stannis was annoyed but he loved his daughter and not having a son never diminished his love for you. And then you approached him and told him the news. That you were with child again, six years after the birth of Shireen. Stannis barely hid his smile at the news. Your pregnancy was a healthy one and there were no concerns about the labor. Stannis remained in the hall (with a very curious Shireen) as you went to the birthing bed (if he paced the hall, he and his guards would never admit it). No news was told to him until your chambers had gone completely quiet, and then the door opened slowly and the Maester stepped out with a wide smile on his lips.
“Twin boys, My Lord. Healthy and very loud.”
Stannis was already moving past him, Shireen still in his arms, as he made a beeline for the bed where you laid, two bundles in your arms.
“Your heir and spare, Husband.” you teased, smiling tiredly up at him
He captured your lips in a rare display of affection before returning his gaze to the babes, “I knew you would perform exceptionally.” He remarked, pride lacing every syllable.
Game of Thrones Imagine - Being a Widow with a Child
In this preference, you'll be with: Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Sansa Stark, Jon Snow, Benjen Stark, Jory Cassel, Mance Rayder, Eddison Tollett, Theon Greyjoy, Yara Greyjoy, Victarion Greyjoy, Daenerys Targaryen, Jorah Mormont, Missandei, Grey Worm, Tywin Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Sandor Clegane, Bronn of Blackwater, Petyr Baelish, Robert Baratheon, Stannis Baratheon, Davos Seaworth, Margaery Tyrell, Brynden Tully, Edmure Tully, Brienne of Tarth, Ramsay Bolton, Roose Bolton, Oberyn Martell, Doran Martell, Arianne Martell
This is going along with the lore that highborn widows with sons are allowed to stay at their deceased husband's keep and rule it until their son is of age! Tho there's some daughters too. IDK this was just in my brain.
Ned Stark
He’s a family man, so he finds your devotion to your daughter charming and attractive. When you married, he allowed your daughter to come along to Winterfell; he couldn’t imagine parting her from her mother. And a nice bonus is that she’s around Jon and Robb’s age, so she could have siblings right away. Though it’s a strange household — a “bastard” son, a son from his first marriage, a step-daughter and eventually a child with you — Ned’s heart swells when he sees you together with all of them. Oh, and Ned would never admit it, but… your soft body and even the stretchmarks are very attractive to him.
Robb Stark
While it’s unconventional for Robb to be marrying a widow, you’re still young and your child is a daughter, so there’s no “threat” to the Starks by her coming along (and Robb would never separate you from her, anyway). He’s unsure for just a day before he quickly takes to her. He has plenty of siblings, after all, and Robb tries to get Rickon to play nice with her. He’d probably be seen as more of a big brother than a real father to her, which Robb is fine with. He plans to do right by her and make sure she’s comfortable in Winterfell — also, it’s adorable how she trails after you.
Sansa Stark
At one point all Sansa could daydream about was being in your position: Married with a child, but now she’s not so naive. She understands you’ve been through a lot, having to protect your child through a war and manage a household that didn’t fully respect you. You take full advantage of the power widowhood gives you, even if it’s temporary. At least it allows you and Sansa to visit, and for you to protect her. As for your son, she’s quite fond of him, though sometimes his smile pulls at her heart because she thinks of her brothers. She’s delighted every time he slips up and calls her “auntie”.
Jon Snow
He has a lot of hang-ups about having children and fatherhood, as you know. Being around your child made him nervous, even if the boy just wanted to play with Jon and look at Ghost. He knew wildlings had different “rules” about these things, but… his heart melts when you care for the boy and he’s treated no different than the other children around. When you talk about the father, Jon is surprised you aren’t upset or ashamed. He thought wildlings lived unhappy and hard lives, but you both challenge that idea. Jon starts to get more attached than he’d like to admit.
Benjen Stark
He always has a little treat tucked away in his cloak for your boy, though you’ve teased Benjen about spoiling him. Your late husband’s keep is one of many places Benjen looks for recruits, so he’s seen your child grow up over several years. And he’s quite popular, with his unusual clothes and tales of the wall. It makes Benjen sentimental to talk to the boy; he’ll start to miss his nieces and nephews in Winterfell. He wonders what it would be like if you could meet them, since he’s quite interested in you. Oh, well. He’s not a man of regrets, so he treasures the moments he gets with you and your child.
Jory Cassel
Jory is surprised he’s marrying at all, let alone a lady of your station. You being widowed doesn’t trouble him, in fact, he wonders if you’re really alright with the arrangement. He wants to make sure your daughter is okay, too! Jory would never imagine separating you two, and while he’s awkward at first, you notice he’s a natural with kids — It must be from all the years of corralling the Stark children. You can tell Jory is very happy with your little family.
Mance Rayder
He’s enamored right away because before he joined the wildlings, never would he had imagined a woman trying to spear him while also carrying a child on her back. Now that you both know each other, there’s less spearing and more Mance humming a tune while your babe falls asleep. He gives you both a soft look when he does that, and you wonder if it’s because crows aren’t allowed wives or children. While Mance is on good enough terms with the curious and rough wildling children in camp, your child is the one who likes to ride on his shoulders on top of his red and black cloak.
Eddison Tollett
Edd grew up with younger siblings and some cousins, so he’s used to being around kids… it has been a while, though. He’s a bit amused by you, a wildling woman carrying around her sassy child on her back. Edd likes to complain about the boy raising hell, but he lets the kid get away with stuffing snowballs in Alliser Thorne’s boots. His interest in you doesn’t heighten or lessen because of a kid, though the boy certainly likes to follow him around. The other Brothers tease him about it, but Edd doesn’t mind too much. Beats sitting alone and talking to the horses.
Pre-Reek!Theon
He never cared much about the brats that ran around Winterfell, and he probably didn’t notice your son until he saw the both of you together. A visit from a pretty girl was rare enough, but a local widowed lady? That was interesting. Theon assumed you were trying to get favor with the Starks — specifically Robb — but he’d still flirt. Watching you be loving with your son stirs a lot of bitter, confusing and even jealous feelings in him. Obviously he’s not going to unpack all that.
Yara Greyjoy
The fact you have a brat at your heels doesn’t deter her attraction to you. She probably wouldn’t pay much mind to the child unless they were exceptionally clever — she outright laughs when they try to tell Yara off for flirting with you. She’s amused if your child begins to idolize her for being a captain, especially if the child was a girl. And when you interact with your child, Yara could almost call it… cute. And she rarely uses that word! The closer you both become, the more she’s like an older sister or cool aunt to your child.
Victarion Greyjoy
When Victarion finds out you’re a widow and not married, he has to physically restrain his relief and happiness. Good, no competition. If she’s a girl, she’ll be allowed to live alongside you on Pyke and little would be expected of her. If he’s a boy, that might be trickier. Victarion might be able to bring him to Pyke and raise him as his own, especially if you were a saltwife. The boy would never be considered a true Greyjoy, but he could still follow the Ironborn way and rise in the society. If you didn’t want your son to be Ironborn, well … sorry about that. Victarion wouldn’t admit it, but he’d like to watch you interact with your kiddo. It gives him a sad nostalgia he can’t quite place.
Daenerys Targaryen
She’s already fond of children, and since she adores you, she attaches herself fairly quickly to your child. She loves finding the similarities in your faces, and watching you play together. Sometimes it’s a bittersweet feeling; she thinks of her own loss and her childhood. But most times you can tell how delighted she is with your child running toward her excitedly, presenting flowers or some such gift. Half the time she doesn’t even need dragons to impress them; they like to sit in her lap and play with her silver hair or stare at her crown. When Daenerys is officially together with you, you both easily fall into parenting your child together.
Jorah Mormont
As if he wasn’t already weak for you… Jorah just adores how you interact with your child, showing them the wonders of Essos, the Khaleesi’s dragons in the sky, making sure they’re comfortable on top of a horse. His heart pounds when the child runs to him for something, and you look at him with such warmth. He’s already daydreaming about the three of you being a family, the thing he thought he missed his chance on. He’ll act paternal without even thinking about it.
Missandei
She was immediately charmed by your child, and the easy, sweet relationship you both had. Missandei can’t remember her mother, but she’s seen many slave and free children be abused through her life. Because of that and because of Missandei’s love for you, she’s always been sweet to your child. She’s happy to teach them languages or history when she has time. No matter how affectionate your kiddo is to her, she doesn’t believe how special she is to them until they called her “sister” or “auntie”. Even when you both were together, Missandei wondered if your child would ever accept her. She could cry once they consider her family.
Grey Worm
Given his and the Unsullied’s upbringing, Grey Worm never thought he’d have a chance to see a normal mother and child relationship. He watches you both with awe and fascination, standing far away so he doesn’t startle the child. Though the child is more likely to startle Grey Worm with his shrieks of delight and running around. Even when you tell Grey Worm he can play games with your child, he’s nervous about doing so, worried he’ll mess up in some way. Once you rope him into spending time with the two of you, he feels a sense of peace he never expected. Visits with you and your child quickly become Grey Worm’s biggest comfort.
Tywin Lannister
In all honesty, he would ignore your daughter for the most part, especially if she was younger. It was already highly unusual that he married a widow with a child; that child in question is certainly an outsider at Casterly Rock, unless you take great steps to educate her and bring her to court. She’ll have finery, but little warmth, unless it’s from you or some friends she manages to make. Even if she’s clever, it’ll take much more for Tywin to deign to notice her. She’s still expected to be presentable at events and in court, however.
Tyrion Lannister
He’s already good with children, and your’s is actually well behaved. Initially Tyrion was attentive to the boy to get your attention, in hopes of securing your favor with one of his schemes. He ended up being fond of the two of you, seeing your own cleverness and compassion in your son, and how much you care for him. It brings up some bittersweet memories of his own upbringing, but he’s also very attracted to your devotion. He might take your boy for a squire, if he’s old enough, or help him achieve a better position.
Jaime Lannister
First off, lucky for him that your spouse is out of the picture, that means any sneaking around is that much easier. He’s not too worried about your son, though; if anything, Jaime doesn’t think much of him. Jaime is distanced from his own children, so he would be with your’s, unless the boy was deadset on following him around. Which, given that Jaime is a famous knight and Kingsguard, he might. Jaime will amuse the boy for a time, but it’s your attention he wants. It’s nice that the boy doesn’t consider him a Kingslayer, though that’s likely because of your influence. And if the lad has obvious talent with a sword, well … maybe Jaime will offer to train him here and there, just to make you happy. He’d feel uncomfortable if the boy began looking up to him, though. He isn’t the sort of person who should be idolized.
Sandor Clegane
Initially, he doesn’t think much of your brat. He’s already in denial of his feelings for you, and a leftover kid from your deceased spouse makes things more complicated. It’s already strange how the child isn’t afraid of him and insists on saying hello. The worst part is he finds himself getting protective when he notices other children harassing your kid — it just takes a good snarl to get them running scared, and he sends the brat back to you, telling you to keep an eye on him. He doesn’t like the strange, sentimental feelings he gets when the two of you are playing together, all but grumbling when you call him over to visit. He never refuses you, though.
Bronn of Blackwater
He doesn’t care about a brat, even if they were born in silks and silver. As if you’re the first woman he’s slept with whose had a kid. Honestly, he rather likes the plumpness around your legs and stomach, and he doesn’t see stretch marks as some awful thing a woman has to hide. So, the mercenary is his usual incorrigible self with you. If he’s feeling like pushing his luck, he’ll tease you about having another kid when you’re sleeping with him… or he’ll mention it’s a shame the husband isn’t around anymore. It’s fun to almost get caught.
Petyr Baelish
He doesn’t think much about your child, initially. Petyr is just pleased your former spouse/lover is out of the equation, that makes things much easier for him. The only reason Petyr socializes with your child at all is just to impress and please you; he’ll buy something for the tot or make conversation with them just to see you smile. It’s easier to get close to you when your child is excited the moment they see him. Though truthfully, Petyr gets a little soft when he sees you bounce the kid on your knee. He loves seeing that sort of open happiness on your face.
Robert Baratheon
Though it caused a great scandal at the time of your marriage, Robert was never bothered by you being widowed or having a child. If anything, he thought the little girl was adorable. She was fearful at first, but then he bought all sorts of extravagant gifts for her while courting you… so now he’s good in her book. Your new husband further disregarded the court by bestowing the title of ‘princess’ to her, which perhaps was another way to please you. Robert is rather turned on by your motherhood, too — he finds the softness of your body and the stretchmarks attractive.
Stannis Baratheon
It was a strange arrangement that brought you two together, and though Stannis had his doubts, he agreed because it was for the best of the realm. Don’t expect him to socialize much with your young daughter; in fact, he has no idea how to approach her. He does take some comfort in her and Shireen getting along, which is more than he could’ve hoped for. Your kindness toward both girls surprises him in a good way. It’s actually… kind of endearing to see you teach them and play with them. He’s still not sure how he fits into it, but Stannis is fine keeping to himself. He figures the three of you wouldn’t want him around.
Davos Seaworth
Well, Davos loves kids and he’s great with them, so he’s amused when he sees your son running around the keep. He met you while gathering allies for Stannis, and quickly developed a rapport with the “young lord” of the keep… Though obviously, as the lord’s widow, you were the one he was discussing the war with. The boy was fascinated with him, so when Davos visited he’d bring a toy he whittled. Davos is in a bit of denial when he starts catching feelings for you, but it’s hard to keep that up when the three of you so well together.
Margaery Tyrell
It’s your child that gets her attention first, because such a charming little boy was a welcome sight in the court of Highgarden. Her cousins loved playing with them, and that led to Margaery finding out more about you. She greatly respects you as a widow, how you’re able to run your House and keep your former husband’s rivals at bay. While Margaery initially invited you to outings to gain your favor, she quickly becomes attached to you and your son. Margaery finds her guard lowering around the two of you, and pulls strings to ensure you’re more comfortable and safe. Her grandmother chides her against her favoritism, but she can't help herself.
Brynden Tully
The old knight is the sort of man whose a natural with children. He adored his nieces and nephew, and he’s always amused by the few children who come by the Bloody Gate, excited to see the famous Blackfish. Brynden will humor your child with war stories whenever you visit. He figures you aren’t truly interested in a man like him, but escorting a lovely widow and her sweetling to the Eyrie is a rare treat. He never fancied himself a lord who would end up married, and he still doesn’t, but… he does have a soft spot for how cute you both are.
Edmure Tully
Firstly — he knows his father would’ve never approved the idea of him marrying a widow, but listen. He likes a pretty smile and good sense of humor, and damn it, you and your son are adorable. He likes the boy run around Riverrun as he pleases, going around the stables and the training yard and the beautiful river. Everyone can tell he’s equally smitten with you. Proper etiquette be damned, he can’t help but invite you to come to Riverrun anytime. It would be considered scandalous if he wasn’t obviously intent on courting you soon. It’d be easier if you had a daughter, but he’ll still be like a fun older brother to your son.
Brienne of Tarth
To begin with, she would always do her utmost to protect you if she was in your service. But something about you being a widow raising a child on her own — perhaps it reminds Brienne of her father’s situation — makes her even more loyal and diligent. If your child begged enough, Brienne would find herself giving them lessons, even if they were a girl. She’d tell herself it was because it was important for a girl to protect herself, it was good exercise, good discipline… but really, she was thinking about her own home life again. Anyone foolish enough to mess with your kid is bringing the wrath of you and a 6”2 woman with a huge sword down upon them.
Ramsay Bolton
His delight at the demise of your spouse is lessened at the thought of you bringing your brat to the Dreadfort. He suppose he should be lucky; since she’s a girl, she can’t inherit your husband’s name, therefore she came along with you. While Ramsay cares little for her, he’ll certainly use her to get closer to you and as leverage if you try to leave. He puts on a mask of kindness and helpfulness so she’ll trust him, though you’re acutely aware it’s an act. The good news is, if you’re obedient, no harm will come to her — even Ramsay knows he has to play nice to keep you cooperative and willing to stay.
Roose Bolton
Roose didn’t give much thought to the child you were bringing into the marriage. She was of little political importance, except maybe for an arranged marriage later down the line. This leads to him being fairly indifferent toward her, though not cruel, and he makes sure she’s provided with anything she needs. He’s fond of watching you play with her, listening to laughter in the Dreadfort for the first time in years. He wonders if you’ll be the same with children you have with him.
Oberyn Martell
He’s very fond of your parental instincts and your love of your child; it’s one of the many things that drew Oberyn. He’s also fond of children and doesn’t see kids from other men as a “threat” to his own love for you — you’re talking to the guy who has eight children from several different women. He’d bring all sorts of toys and treats for your child when he visited, and bring them to play with his younger girls at the Water Gardens. He really delights in seeing the two of you happy together, and, you know… he wouldn’t be opposed to having another …
Doran Martell
No surprise, Doran is a natural with children. When you come to Sunspear, he sees no problem in allowing your child to tag along and makes sure they’re comfortable. They would have no end of playmates between Oberyn’s girls and distant Martell cousins. When Doran is having a difficult day, it warms his heart to see you and the children playing together at the Water Gardens. He’d have your child raised and educated as his own were, and would like it if they all got along.
Arianne Martell
Arianne first met you after your husband died; while she knew of him, he spoke little of his wife and child. Now that you have his keep under your command, she made a point to curry your favor… and ended up growing very fond of you and your son. Arianne is already used to having young children around, so seeing him run up to her in excitement warms her heart. She definitely dotes on your son to please you, and seeing you play with him and give him attention makes her smile, too. More than once you two have been invited to the watergardens to play with her cousins.
Summary: You’re driving home for the holidays with your best friend. The only problem? You’re madly in love with him.
Warnings: Play-fighting turned frustration. A spontaneous kiss. Mostly fluff, really.

AN: Hi, lovelies! I was inspired by the holiday season to write some holiday preferences for our lovely GoT boys. I've never written for Jon before but this story just came to me. It was originally going to be a drabble but it sort of took on a life of its own, so I guess it is a full-length one-shot now. Let me know what you guys think or if you think I should write for Jon again! I hope you guys like it. Thank you for reading!
You waved goodbye to your roommates, watching them disappear in a flurry of snow as you made your way to the center of the quad. Your cheeks were tingling from the cold, flakes of snow catching in your lashes and hair. You loved the snow. You loved the way it decorated your clothes before melting off and disappearing without a trace, you loved the way it crunched under your feet as you walked, and the way it covered the treetops like frosting on a cake. You busied yourself kicking the white powder, watching it shimmer in the last remaining winter light. You were so entranced with it that you didn’t notice as one of your kicks of snow flew up… hitting your best friend in the face.
“Hello to you, too, Y/N,” Jon’s deep voice sang, and he flashed you a small smile as he brushed snow out of his dark curls. You felt your face flush, your lips parting to say something, anything, but all you could manage was a pathetic stutter as you ran up to Jon, fingers brushing the snow out of his beard.
“Jon! I am so… sorry… I didn’t see you…” He jerked away, laughing.
“Your fingers are freezing!” He said. Just as you felt yourself growing disappointed that he pulled away from you, he took your hands into his own, shoving them into the pockets of his winter coat for good measure. He felt so warm, even after waiting for you in the quad for God knows how long. You peeked up at his face, but quickly looked away once you saw him already looking at you.
You’d been in love with your best friend Jon for as long as you could remember. You two had grown up together, been virtually inseparable. As children, you were each other’s constant companions. You remembered walking along the train tracks in your hometown and climbing trees together. Once you’d fallen and broken your leg, and Jon had jumped out after you so you wouldn’t feel alone. He was so thoughtful and fearless. You’d been each other’s closest confidants. You remembered crying in high school when Jon told you about his crush on Ygritte, and feeling like you would die when they started dating. Now you two were in college together, about to make the drive home together for the holidays, and all of a sudden you felt your familiarity with Jon slipping away. You could barely look into his warm, chocolate brown eyes, and when you two did speak you could only choke out a few words. You were surprised he was still planning to drive home with you, considering what an absent friend you had been lately.
You sighed as you looked over Jon’s shoulder, watching the snowfall and trying to ignore the feeling of his thumbs rubbing circles over your knuckles in his pockets. You felt his gaze on you for a moment before you watched him kneel down from the corner of your periphery, not thinking anything of it until you felt a shocking, freezing sensation falling over your head.
“Jon?!” You shrieked as you shook your hair out, snow flying in all directions. He grinned widely.
“Y/N,” he mocked. “Glad I could snap you out of that trance. If I’d have known that’s all it took…” He trailed off as he scooped up another handful of snow, packing it tightly before launching it at your chest. You stumbled back and he doubled over laughing. You rolled onto your hands and knees, facing away from him so he wouldn’t see you picking up more snow to throw at him. You spun around and launched the crystalline white ball as hard as you could before noticing Jon wasn’t standing there anymore, disappointed as your handiwork fell to the ground and dispersed. “I’m over here,” you heard your best friend call from the side, another handful of snow knocking the side of your head and slipping into the collar of your shirt. You squealed and tried to shake it out, bending over in a weird little dance as Jon laughed at you.
Even pretending to be exasperated by him, you couldn’t wipe the smile off your face. This felt just like old times. You two chased each other all the way to the car as the sun began to set, pelting each other with snow. Sometimes you hit him, though you suspected he was slowing down to give you a chance. His precision was far more deadly, and soon you were covered in powdery snow, acutely aware that once it melted you’d be soaking wet. In one last act of defiance, you ran at Jon full speed, pleased at the surprised gasp that escaped his mouth as you sent him tumbling back into the snow, with you following behind.
“Oof,” he huffed as you plopped onto his chest. His face was so close that his cold breath tickled your nose. You sat up and began grabbing fistfuls of snow, tossing them into his face as he laughed and tried to wriggle out from under you. “Y/N!” his raspy voice called, but you showed no signs of slowing. “Y/N!” He took your wrists into his hands, stopping you from grabbing any more snow as he sat up. “Truce?” he pleaded. His big, chocolate brown eyes stared into yours and suddenly your skin was on fire where he was holding you. You were acutely aware of the fact that you were sitting in his lap, his gorgeous face inches from yours again. You had the sudden urge to knot your fingers in his dark curls and pull him to you. Wait, what? You yanked your wrists out of his grasp rather harshly, not missing the shock on his face as you weakly hit his chest over and over and over. He watched, bewildered, until you pathetically gave up on hitting him and climbed off his lap, walking away.
“Y/N, what-” but you were gone. You didn’t want to explain your outburst to Jon. What would you even say? I’m mad at you because I’m in love with you and because you’ll never feel the same way about me? Or how about, I’m mad at you because you make me feel like my body is on fire and I’m worried if I’m alone in a car with you for hours I’ll do something stupid and destroy our friendship? No. You wouldn’t let that happen. You marched off down the street. You remembered the way to the train station. If you left now, you might be able to catch a late one. You heard Jon calling after you, but eventually he gave up and went to his car. Good, you thought, though you felt a pang of disappointment. What was wrong with you?
It took you another minute to finally hear the low rumble of an engine and the crunching of snow underneath tires. You glanced over to see Jon following you in the car. His boyish grin was gone, instead his jaw was set as he flicked his dark eyes over to you before looking back at the road.
“Get in the car, Y/N,” his low voice commanded. His authoritative tone gave you a flutter deep in your core. Damn it. He was only making your feelings worse. You stared straight ahead and ignored him. “Y/N,” his voice came out as a warning this time. It excited you. You kept walking. The crunching of snow being ground under tires grew louder and the headlights brightened. He had pulled up in front of you, effectively cutting you off from walking further. Before you could walk around his car, Jon climbed out of the driver’s side and made his way to you. You froze as you watched his large frame advancing towards you. Without a word, he ducked down and threw you over his shoulder, carrying you to the car and ignoring your protests.
“This is kidnapping,” you pouted as he reentered the driver’s seat and locked the doors.
“Really? Because twenty minutes ago you were planning to drive home with me.” He was upset. You understood; it was justified. He drove wordlessly for a while, and you stared out the window, watching the dark, winding roads blur by. You were sure he wouldn’t speak another word to you and the thought was kind of a relief. When you got back home to Winterfell, New York, Jon would never talk to you again. And maybe it was better that way. You were barely even friends as it were. You didn’t even know how to talk, act, even breathe around him anymore. Your feelings had gotten the better of you, and since you couldn’t be with him it was time you let him go and drifted apart. You let that sink in, the fact that you wouldn’t have a best friend anymore, and blinked back tears.
“Get in the front,” Jon’s deep, accented voice interrupted your thoughts. You caught sight of his face in the rearview mirror. His eyes were still stern but he looked concerned. You couldn’t let him melt your resolve like that. He would make everything okay again, and it would only prolong your pain. You turned away from his reflection. Only a few more hours, you thought. “Damn it, Y/N, say something!” He slammed his hand against the steering wheel as he said it, making you jump. He was begging now. “Y/N, please. Was it something I said? Did I make you uncomfortable? What did I do wrong?” The desperation in his voice flooded your heart with guilt. He thought this was his fault. How were you to explain to him that the only thing he was guilty of was being too perfect?
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” you mumbled. He gave a breathy, relieved laugh that you were finally speaking to him. His voice became soft again. Like he was afraid of scaring you into shutting him out again.
“Come to the front, Y/N. Talk to me.” You shook your head, unsure if he was even looking at the mirror to see it.
“I can’t, Jon. It’s not your fault but… we can’t be friends. It’s better this way.” You didn’t know what else to say, so you stared at your hands.
“Is it, now?” His words were cold. Not like snow. Like steel. A sarcastic laugh dripped from his lips. “‘It’s not you, it’s me’, really, Y/N? You know what-” he turned the steering wheel abruptly, pulling over to the side of the road. The car stopped with a jolt, and in a second he had exited the driver’s side and climbed into the back with you. You shot a glance at the door behind you, but he leaned over you and gripped the handle, holding the door closed before you could even make a move for it. You were trapped between the door and his warm body. “No running. Tell me what your problem is right now, Y/N. You disappeared from my life. I went through a semester barely talking to you. I thought,” he huffed a pained laugh and you noticed a shimmer in his eyes as his voice wavered. “I thought you were busy with schoolwork or something. You’re always busy lately. Too busy for me,” he mumbled the last words and you inhaled deeply, the sweet scent of pine and amber and cyprus cologne burning your throat. You owed him an explanation. He deserved it.
“I wasn’t too busy,” you defended. “I kept myself busy. Because you were busy. You were with Ygritte and-”
“I broke up with Ygritte,” he said, his eyebrows drawn together. “In October. You don’t know that? You’re my best friend and you have no idea what’s going on in my life. I wasn’t too busy. And I wasn’t with her. Why are you really avoiding me?” You bit your lip.
“I’m sorry-”
“Y/N, I don’t want an apology. I want my best friend back. I’ve missed you. Please. I hoped this drive would… would fix whatever is broken between us. We could be how we used to be.”
“I don’t want to be how we used to be!” you cried desperately.
“Then what do you want?!” Jon raised his voice to match yours.
Your hands landed on his chest, twisting his shirt into your fists as you pulled him into you and finally, finally pressed his soft lips against yours. It only took him a second to react, dropping the door handle to wrap an arm around your waist, his other hand slipping behind your hair and holding the back of your neck. His kisses were slow and deliberate, and he punctuated each deep kiss with a series of small ones across each of your lips. He rubbed his thumb along your jaw languidly as he sucked softly on your lower lip. You whimpered into his mouth, and he used the arm wrapped around you to easily pull you onto his lap, both of his hands caressing your face now as he tilted his head up and captured your lips once more.
It felt so right. Like everything had fallen into place. You and Jon, together like this… it just made sense. You slid your hands up from his chest and into his curls, finally knotting them into your fingers like you’d wanted to. You tugged them back, tilting his head back and peppering his lips and jaw with kisses as he exhaled slowly. Your arms wrapped around his neck and his found their way around your waist, pulling you close until your forehead was resting on his own, your noses brushing each other, your chests rising and falling in unison. You kissed him again. And again. And once more. He chuckled against your lips and stared at you with a twinkle in his eye.
“Was that all?” he asked. You nodded meekly. “Y’know… if you hadn’t been so intent on avoiding me, I was planning on initiating that myself.”
“You were?”
“Of course. I love you, Y/N. I always have. I want to go back to Winterfell as your boyfriend. If you’ll have me.”
“I’ll have you,” you whispered. His cheeky grin returned.
“Yeah, you’ve already had me. Is that why you drenched me in snow? You wanted me to take my clothes off?”
“Shut up before I drag you back out there for a rematch.”
“I wouldn’t mind a rematch-”
“That’s not what I meant! I meant the snowball fight. You perv.”
“I’d love to see you try, angel. I’ll wipe the floor with you.”
You drove back to Winterfell belting your favorite songs together with Jon’s hand on your thigh.
“Jon?” you spoke as you finally pulled in to the Starks’ driveway.
Margaery knows how to adapt to anything that comes at her, so she’d be respected by Drogo and the Dothraki in no time. Drogo would be impressed by her relaxed demeanor and how quick she’d be to learn their customs. He’d quickly see that she doesn’t fear him or his men (or if she does, she’s hiding it at an expert level) and that alone would give him the puppy dog eyes for her. For Margaery it would be once he softened up with her a bit and showed that he saw her as an equal that would make the bond form. It would take a while for them to form a genuine, healthy bond, but once they did they’d be pretty unstoppable.
Yara Greyjoy x Tyrion Lannister
They would have a particularly slow start. Hearing the name Lannister would make Tyrion unappealing to Yara. However, with time, she’d grow to enjoy his cunning and ability to lead in times of crisis. They’d slowly grow a mutual respect for one another. After that, it would be Yara’s ability to see through Tyrion’s attempted charms that would interest him in her. She wouldn’t care about the way he can fluff up a story, just the end goal. The two of them would be about the biggest pair of smartasses you can find. If they both go after someone simultaneously, prepare to transport them to a Maester for a severe case of burns. They may not agree on a lot of things, but they’d develop a mutual understanding and have a good relationship overall.
Sansa Stark x Ygritte
Sansa and Ygritte would balance each other out really well. Sansa is a master of soft skills and Ygritte is a fierce warrior. Combining their skillsets would be like adding marshmallows to hot cocoa. They’d run into the snag of Ygritte wanting to remain among the Free Folk and Sansa being required in Winterfell, but if they could work that out somehow then I think they’d have the best relationship out of these couplings. They both have wit on their side and would have fun teasing each other here and there. Ygritte would never let anyone forget that Sansa is a badass, and Sansa wouldn’t let anyone disrespect Ygritte for being one of the Free Folk. They’d have that same vibe as your aunties who always show up stylish with the best gifts and that keep the whole family in line.
Daenerys Targaryen x Euron Greyjoy
If these two could manage to get along a little bit and agree on some things, they’d make a terrifying couple for Westeros. Dany wants the throne and Euron wants to be throne adjacent. They’re both ruthless but in different ways. I don’t know if they could ever come to a place of agreement, but there’s a chance that they would and then everyone better get outta Dodge. Within their relationship, Daenerys would take the lead on most things. Euron would basically be along for the ride. She’d tolerate his crude behavior only as much as she found him useful, and she’d have no problem letting him know that. Once they reached that understanding (and Euron came to fear her) they may be able to reach that place where they start getting along.
Request: “Please a preference with the lannisters (Tywin, Jaime, Cersei, Joffrey) how they behave while they fall in love with you.😊”
A/N: i hope it’s okay!! i debated for a long time whether or not to include joffrey because i didn’t know if i was comfortable with it or not but eventually decided whatever
— CERSEI LANNISTER
Cersei would be incredibly possessive of you as she finds herself falling in love with you. She’ll do whatever it takes to make you hers, and would find herself wanting to be around you as much as possible. She’d also find herself becoming wildly jealous whenever she sees you interacting with others, because she wants you all to herself.
— JAIME LANNISTER
Jaime wouldn’t be afraid to flirt with you, trying to make you smile in any way he can. He’d try his best to charm you when he realises he’s falling in love with you, and he’d do whatever it takes to impress you in some way, although he usually ends up making a fool of himself. And no matter how suave he tries to be, he always ends up a flustered mess when you smile at him.
— JOFFREY BARATHEON
Joffrey would try to spoil you when he realised he had feelings for you, try to impress you with material goods and his power as King. He’d shower you in gifts, show off his palace, try to woo you with his status. He’d feel rather entitled to your feelings, thinking that since he’s a King, you must be in love with him as he’s in love with you.
— TYWIN LANNISTER
Tywin would try to distance himself from you, suppressing his feelings in fear of what they might lead to. He might act rather cold towards you, but every now and then, you’d chip through his tough exterior, even getting a compliment from him. But whenever he’d catch himself letting his guard down around you, he’d be quick to build it back up, not wanting to be too vulnerable.
