Prompt: Mark and Yugyeom come home to find their kitten, Y/N, cheeks wet with tears and a frown upon her face. Can they figure out why?
Warnings: Tiny Angst, fluff
After a long day of practice and rehearsals Mark and Yugyeom were glad when Jaebum told everyone to head home or to the dorm.
“Bye guys! Tell Y/N we said Hi!” Youngjae yelled after the two boys who were scurrying down the stairs of the building to get home.
“We will!” Mark yelled back after waving to them.
“I hope kitten hasn't been waiting too long for us.” Yugyeom said once they were outside the building.
“Me too, but let’s hurry home. Don’t wanna keep making her wait, plus I’ve been wanting to be with her since we left this morning.” Mark replied as they walked toward the car.
Meanwhile at home...
Things were not as nice as the boys were thinking it would be, Y/N was currently running around the apartment trying to clean up the mess she had made while trying to find the necklace the boys had given her, one which she still hadn’t found.
“Where is it?! I had it right before I took a shower!”
“This is exactly why I hate water.”
“But I was starting to stink so I needed the bath... and my hair and fur was getting oily..”
Y//N rambled on and on as she tidied up the apartment, she ran to the bedroom and began to get ready for bed.
She blow dried her beginning to frizz dry hair, then putting it up in a half up half down ponytail. She slipped on one of the boys oversized sweater and pulled on a pair of knee his socks, they were white with pink stripes at the top.
After she was dressed and her skin car routine finished, she sat down in front of the couch. She was staring off into the fireplace when her hand subconsciously came up to play with the necklace that once adorned her neck. She frowned upon realizing once more than it was gone.
Y/N began to cry silently, tears rolling down her face as she felt guilty for losing the necklace her beloved boyfriends had given her.
“Oh, they’re gonna be so upset with me!” Y/N scolded herself.
A few moments passed and there was motion outside the door of the apartment, motion that had Y/N tensed up as she waited.
“Kitten! We’re home!” Mark’s voiced filled the quiet apartment.
“Where’s our kitten?” Yugyeom asked aloud, hoping that would coax Y/N into scurrying into the lobby.
“In the living room!” Y/N called out, hoping they wouldn’t notice the missing necklace.
Mark and Yugyeom appeared in the doorway upon hearing her voice and they instantly scurried over to her and sat on each side of her before engulfing her in hugs and kisses.
“Wait-Kitten, why were you crying?” Mark asked after having noticed her tear stained cheeks and puffy eyes.
“Crying? Kitten? In the same sentence?” Yugyeom asked, confused as he looked from Mark and Y/N.
“I-I um-” Y/N lowered her head.
“No kitten, it’s okay. You can tell us, please.” Mark said as he kissed her temple.
“I was taking a shower earlier and I took off the necklace you gave me, so it wouldn’t get wet. When I got out the shower it was gone, I’ve looked everywhere!” Y/N explained, her eyes filling with tears again.
Yugyeom sighed and let out a soft chuckle, “We’ll find it Kitten and it not we’ll get you a new one. Don’t worry and please don’t cry, you look far too cute to be crying!” Yugyeom told her as he gestured to her outfit she had picked.
“And you did your hair so cutely too, ah you’re gonna be the sweet death of us. Let’s go find the necklace.” Mark groaned fondly at her before standing and holding out his hand.
Yugyeom stood up once Y/N had placed her hand in Mark’s, all three of them began their search for the missing necklace.
What seemed like an eternity later, but was only five minutes..
“Found it!” Yugyeom yelled out as he emerged from the bathroom.
“You knocked it off the counter and it fell underneath the cabinet, kitten.” Yugyeom said as he clasped it back around her neck.
“Oh.” Was all Y/N could say as she lowered her head shyly.
Mark and Yugyeom chuckled and they wrapped her in their embrace and peppered her with kisses.
