The night was in total silence. It was almost one in the morning and you were walking home. You had just finished your college work with your friend and she didn't live far from your place so you thought why not. That was until a storm came out of nowhere. You started running but after a couple blocks you realized that anyway you were already totally wet so you decided to just walk and kind of enjoy your little adventure. You were passing in front of the JYP building when a lightning struck a few meters forward. Jumping, scared as hell, you ran to the entrance of the building. While you were trying to calm down your breathing and find the courage to get out again and walk the rest of the way a guy showed up looking at you in shock. Both of you stood there in silence looking each other until another lightning struck.
“GOD!” You yelled jumping one more time.
“The storm is pretty strong, isn't it?” Said the handsome guy. You were sure that he was an idol, but you really didn't know who. You’d came to South Korea only a couple months ago and because of all the work that college meant you hadn't had any time to look at those kind of things.
“I almost die a couple minutes ago because of it.” You said to him being dramatic on purpose.
He looked at you from head to toe. Probably wondering why in hell you’d decided to walk with this kind of weather.
“Yes, I've been walking in the middle of a storm. I’m surprised myself.” You said trying to get his gaze out of your body.
“Why?” He asked confused. He seemed to be really tired, and you were tired too, so you tried to answer quick to continue.
“That’s a really good question. Maybe I'll figure it out when I get home. Good night.”
When you were about to feel the rain again he grabbed your arm softly.
“Wait! Are you crazy? This is going to get worst. You can't just walk home. You'll get sick and I’m sure it's dangerous.” - He paused for a second. Thinking if he should say the rest - “I’ll drive you home.”
“So you're telling me that walking home is a bad idea but getting in some car with a stranger is not?” You were almost sure he wasn't a bad guy but you weren't going to just get in the car without knowing him.
“You're right. My name is Jaebum.” - He said holding a smile - “And I’m pretty sure that knowing my name is not enough to let me drive you home but I seriously won't be able to live with myself if I just let you go alone, so please trust me.”
“You're right too. It is not enough but I think the circumstances don't leave me much of a choice. Thank you, Jaebum.” - You smiled at him - “I’m Y/N, by the way.”
MARK
You had spent almost all the afternoon trying to find a hoodie but in the girls section every single one of them had something that you didn't want at the time. You wanted a big and neutral one. The weather was starting to get cold and you weren't going to fight it with some sparkly short hoodie, maybe later. So after thinking what to do you decided to go to the men’s section. After looking for a couple minutes you found one, but when you tried to pull it out you felt someone doing the same from the other side of the coat rack. You raised your head over it to see who wanted your hoodie and a really cute guy was looking back at you.
“Hey, I'm sorry but I really want this one” You said with a polite smile trying to convince him.
“I want it too.” He said the same way as you.
“Oh, c'mon. You can find another one, can't you? I’ve been looking for a really long time and this one is the only one that I actually like.”
“I'm sure there must be another hoodie and this is my section so… I'll take it.” He gave you a big smile obviously playing with you but you weren't in the mood to playfully fight over the damn hoodie.
“Fine. I’ll look somewhere else.” You told him and turned around to get out of the store.
“Wait! You really want it?”
“Yes. I already told you so.” You weren't annoyed but you didn't want to follow his game.
“You can have it.” - When you were about to smile and thank him, he continued - “But you'll have to accept to go for a drink with me.”
“Are you serious?” Now you were really annoyed.
“I know is not the best way to ask someone out but I promise you I’m better when I’m not this nervous.” He answered blushing a little.
“Why are you nervous?”
“I’ve never done this before but I couldn't let the opportunity to talk to you go. I'll be honest. I didn't even want the hoodie I just wanted to start a conversation.” - He looked at the floor in embarrassment - “I’m sorry.”
You couldn't resist seeing how cute he was and you weren't going to lose anything if you accepted his proposal.
“It’s okay. Actually that drink doesn't sound bad.” You told him recovering your smile and he smiled back at you wider than before.
JACKSON
You were freaking out. You didn’t understand how you were so unlucky to arrived at the airport at the same time someone famous did. The crowd occupied all the way to the parking lot, where your car was. You had just got from your homeland and all you wanted to do was rest. You hated flying for that many hours and you’ve never been able to sleep very well on those seats. Obviously you didn’t have the best humor at the time and now you were in front of hundreds of people screaming and pushing each other. It was insane. ‘How do they do?’ You asked to yourself thinking how exhausted must those guys be.
Trying to leave your little fear aside, you started walking your way out. At the same moment, a couple meters behind, an idol group was walking in the same direction.
When you realized what was happening you were already being pushed from one side to the other. The crowd imprisoned you. The screams were getting louder and it was more difficult to breath. You fell to the floor and it seemed like you weren’t there because no one tried to help you. You felt some stomps until a hand grabbed your arm and put you on your feet again.
“Are you okay?” Someone asked you with a clear tone of worry in his voice.
“I.. I think so.” You said recovering from the incident once you left the crowd behind. You hadn’t seen yet to whom you owed a ‘thank you’.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, thank you so much for… Oh.” - At that moment you met the sweet guy who helped you - “Now I understand why there are some many people.”
“You know us?” Jackson Wang asked with a smirk.
“Yes I do.” - You answered with a small smile still and a little nervous. You passed your weight from one foot to the other but a throbbing pain made you touch the floor once again. When you uncovered your ankle to see if everything was fine, a purple mark was covering your skin - “Damn.”
“That doesn’t look good.” He said while sitting next to you, more worried than before.
“It’ll be okay. Sadly is not the first time this happens. I’ll just take a cap to the hospital.”
“Of course not. Wait here, I’m going to tell the others that we’ll drive you there. I need to know that you’ll be alright.”
JINYOUNG
The rain was falling gently that afternoon. A weak wind found an entrance to the café where you worked. The silence invaded the whole place until a guy all covered up opened the door and walked straight to the last table. Meanwhile, you, on the other side of the counter, were reading your favorite book for the fifth time.
“Hey, a customer.” Said the voice of your boss.
“Yes, sir.” You closed your book knowing exactly where were you before your boss ordered you to attend the man who had just entered.
After taking the man’s order you walked right back to the counter and while you announced what drink needed to be made you realized that someone had entered and was now looking at your book.
“Excuse me, sir. Let me take it.” You said politely.
“Is it yours?” Said the guy in front of you. A really cute one, actually.
“Yes, it is mine.”
“It’s my favorite book. Have you already read it?” He said with smile but never taking his gaze away from the book.
“Really? Is my favorite one too. I’m finishing it for the sixth time.”
Right before you told him that he looked at you with surprised eyes. You understood why. It wasn't a famous book and it was kind of hard to read so not a lot of people used to enjoy it.
“I thought no one else liked it.” - His lips formed a big smile and then he continued - “I’ve always wanted to talk with someone about it.”
“Me too. I’ve wanted to know somebody else’s opinion but I haven't found anyone willing to give it to me.”
“Well, now you’ve found one. Is it okay if I invite you a cup of coffee?” He asked excited.
“Sure! Would you wait until my shift finish?”
“Of course.”
While you were finishing your duties he kept thinking how was it possible that the only other person he knew who liked that book were such a pretty and kind girl.
