He didn't know how, but he was back. For a brief moment he was home, everyone he knew was alive and safe and Hive City was nothing more than a bad dream. But perhaps his return home was a dream, as he's currently walking down a familiar street in the Hive. He's a lot more upset than what he appears, was it just a cruel trick by the scientists...?

While he walks, he comes across a familiar face...rather, a familiar mask. He recognized his old coworker and was honestly happy to see someone he knew, but did Cobra recognize him? He didn't know how much time he spent home, if he even was home, and how much time actually passed in the city. Rather than approach and say hello, he stayed where he was and gave him a short wave. Hopefully he still recognized him.

oh my god i had no idea that his original japanese lines weren't Bad like that and that makes me all the more disappointed in the localization....

a lot of people didn’t know ;; some people even dislike him for his speech and i hate that.. it’s not his fault, please,

The only thing Gonta does that in any way explains the localization's handling is that he refers to himself in third person, which is indicative of him being CHILDISH in Japanese, not stupid. Gonta's English localization makes me so disappointed...

YEAH i forgot to mention he still spoke in third person in japanese.. angie and tenko were supposed to as well, but the localization didn’t bother with them. probably to emphasize on making gonta’s speech seem so primitive. i also think his backstory played into their decision :(
