The Great ACT-NSW-NZ Trip, 2023-2024 - Whanganui Regional Museum

We stopped for a few hours in Whanganui, so I could see the Moa wing at the museum there, and the rest of the exhibits. Excellent collection, including Superman's fight against superpowered Moa, and the famous Aotearoan Derpseal.

Nice displays of the many other fossils from the area, meteorites, Māori artefacts, and a temporary exhibition of some of Gottfried Lindauer's oustanding portraits of various Māori chiefs and other personages.
