"We stand together"
Drew knows that the State is less than perfect, a lot less than perfect, and he isn't going to pretend otherwise. But he also knows that the assholes who are setting up the rebellion aren't doing it because they believe in anarchy, or anything like that-- they're doing it for the sake of money and power and setting up their own little tyrannical nation, and FUCK. THAT.
(More than two thousand unarmed civilians dead in their "Open Your Eyes" campaign. They were going to answer for that.)
So even though he technically retired three years ago, he's getting ready to go hot again, sitting in the back of the helicarrier, part of an air drop, and it's going to be one helluva drop, too-- they've gotta stay high enough that the Silver Hawks (and what kind of dumbass name is that, anyway?) won't know they're on the way until it's way, way too late.
"Ten minutes to deployment," the mission commander calls out, and they get ready.
This isn't going to be fun, and Drew's already-- not regretting his choice, but man, is he pissed off. And he's ready to use that pissed-offed-ness to shut these idiots down. Permanently.
The Rebellion has begun! Send me "We stand together!"... and I’ll tell you about your role.
[[ Rebellion against a governing body AU. I’ll flip a coin to randomly determine if the government in question is actually corrupt, or if the rebels are the real problem.
If you want, specify if you’re with the rebels, or the governing body– otherwise, I’ll flip a coin to decide for you!
