Tired and grumpy, Corrine walked into Angel’s apartment building. The day had been way too long, and she was barely functioning on the four hours of sleep she got the previous night. She worked all night to finish a lab report before the 8am deadline, then she had to work, and then help set up and attend the math club’s pi day party. Tired wasn’t even the word. Halfway through the party she decided that she was gonna go straight to Angel’s after. She missed him. He lived a lot closer to where the party was, plus there was no way she was walking across campus and back to her apartment in heels and a short pink dress. She cursed herself for forgetting her flip flops. It was after midnight, but Corrine knocked on his door. When he opened the door, she practically fell into him, wrapping her arms around his waist and smushing her face into his chest. “My feet hurt so bad,” she whined.
