Thank you GP Chicago! We had a glorious time hanging out with you, vandalizing your cards and playmats, and repeatedly crying out in celebration together every time the line inched forward.
If only I could speed up the experience. If I could copy myself, believe me, I would. Several times. And after signing all the cards, we’d form a traveling band of Steve Argyles. A band entirely of guitars and awkward vocals with super geeky lyrics. We’d go on talk shows, and watch our wife squirm when asked awkward questions about being married to an army of clones. Angry talk show pundits would rant about what powers and responsibilities a clone legion has. Are we a single citizen entity? Are we to be classified as a super hive human? Our are we now an entirely new species? Will we be hunted for sport? Will we be harvested for organs? (Because I’ll be honest with you all, our organs are mostly pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Ignore the pictures. Photoshop is kind to me.) When the first inter dimensional war breaks out between Earth 1, and Earth A, will we be drafted as one soldier, or recruited as an entire battalion of super clumsy but expendable laser sponges? Will the citizens of the new Empire of Argyle appreciate their new rulers, or well they reject the dual class system and revolt? What will happen to all the beautifully sculpted diamond statues of The One True First Steve? Would neo-humanity ultimately forget the magnificent gifts of the Steve Argyle Sapiens Legionus?
These thoughts keep me awake at night.
Anyway, super thanks Chicago! You were better than a hot tub of creme brule.
