Castiel breathed deeply in and out for a moment. He knew he should have told Anna sooner. But a lot had happened lately and he hadn't been thinking clearly. Calling Anna to tell her about everything hadn't even crossed his mind.
But now it had, and he was going to tell her everything she wanted to know. Finding Anna in his address book, he called her and brought the phone to his ear, waiting for her to pick up.
[We're ... we're only half-siblings?]
[..Yes. I will call you, okay? Give me a second. Well, if it can still call.]
[That ... That is a lot to take in. You moved out? And Gabe, too? Are you guys okay? And you're living with Dean?! Dean Winchester?! My ex, Dean?! Safely say I did not see that coming. Some of that other stuff, okay. I mean, I can't really scold you for the pot without being a hypocrite (I've tried it, like, twice) as long as you don't make it a habit. But dad? I don't get it. Our dad's not our dad but some other guy is? And you've met him?]
[No, Anna... Richard is your father. We're.. only half-related. But that doesn't matter to me, you're my sister no matter how much blood is involved. Speaking of Dean, I... am dating him. But I have spoken to my biological father on the phone and I met him once, except I didn't know it was him. His eyes are blue. I guess that finally makes sense, huh.]
[Cas and Gabe: Guys, I'm really really sorry that I haven't messaged you lately. I guess I've just gotten really caught up in everything here. It's not a good excuse, I know that and I feel terrible for not having at least checked in with you since your birthday. But I miss you like crazy. How's everything going at home?]
[Wow, um... Anna. You... You missed.. a lot. I wrote on my blog about it, I.. don't really wish to repeat it now that I'm done, you can... Read that. Please. My phone is also... as good as dead, so if you don't get a response it means it finally fell apart.]
Jo made her way to the abandoned house by foot. She took a few sips out of the small bottle of jaeger she had found in the fridge at home, forgotten behind yesterday's leftovers. As she walked along the railway, into the woods, she whispered to herself: "Might be no real courage, but at least dutch...". She couldn't surpress a small giggle at that thought.
Blinking through the dark, she slowly saw the old house getting closer, heard the music pounding through the speakers, people laughing and chatting on the porch. Slowing her steps and putting on her pokerface - because she did not want to seem to eager to get to the party - she made the few last steps to the entrance. Jo tightened her grip on her black backpack a little, and stepped through the open door, looking around.
There were a lot of faces - none of which she knew. Couples where dancing, talking over the loud music, sipping on some weird orange stuff.
Jo settled for a place near the door, took a deep breath, trying to look as relaxed and at ease as possible, while she took in her surroundings more closely.
