How did they just get rid of a grade? Also would that be equilivent to US senior year (12th grade, 13th year of school) or after it? The numbering system in the US makes no sense :)
Every other system in Canada only went up to grade 12, so they decided to get rid of grade 13 in order to be in line with everyone else. They reworked the curriculum to rejig everything. And yes, grade 12=senior year.
