Applying to foreign universities was so much more of a pain in the ass than i expected, and I am so glad to be (nearly) finished with this process. Between waking up at 3am to make long distance calls overseas to paying exorbitant sums to have all my documents notarized (who the hell requires this? Apparently all german universities...), the process has been--if possible--even more rigorous and tedious than applying for a Fulbright. The good news is everything is nearly ready to be sent out and I am very much looking forward to starting school in either Vienna, Heidelberg, Cologne, or Mainz this fall if all goes well.
