To celebrate the success of the first few days of the kickstarter campaign, the WBN team posted Chapter 1!! 🌻
I'm so excited to share this story I've spent the last year drawing, and for everyone to get to meet these characters in a new way. :) The rest of the chapter is here, enjoy!!
I got permission to share -- I'm making graphic novel with Fieldmouse Press!
I haven’t done an end of year retrospective in a while. This isn’t really about 2025. My 2025 was great! I got married (again!!), I got to attend a ton of fun conventions and meet a lot of you guys in my new home in Australia! I went out and made friends! I traveled! I did a really wonderful Artist Residence in Itoshima!! I reignited my love for personal projects! I’m living with the love of my life doing a job that I love, and you know what? None of that would’ve happened if I decided my life was over at 20 years old.
I know “it gets better” is a platitude, so I won’t say it, but what I will say is “it gets different”. It’ll pass. And aren’t you curious to know what happens next? Don’t you want to live long enough to find out?
Publisher: So we wanted to know if you’d be willing to collaborate on the cover reveal for your book.
Me: You mean the thing they do in publishing where you only make the cover of your book public six months before the book actually comes out to build anticipation about the release? Do authors…not want to be involved in that?
Publisher: You’d be surprised.
Me: Well, obviously yes. The biggest question is who we’re revealing it to.
Publisher: …Instagram?
Me: YOU MISUNDERSTAND ME.
