I’m curious, what made Lionblaze your fav?
First off, Squirrelflight is my fave.
But anyway, I remember in my first re-read of warriors since I was a kid I went into power of three knowing Jayfeather and Hollyleaf had cool arcs but not really remembering much about Lionblaze’s, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I emjoyed his arc. I liked him dealing with the shit Ashfur was putting on him as well as being manipulated by Tigerstar. I liked a whole lot seeing him struggle with his aggressive side that was only being fanned by his psedu-grandfather.
I really did fall in love with him during Long Shadows though. Him being absolutely afraid of himself and afraid to hurt others because of his anger and because of his powers, powers that he was revling in a book before. I really liked seeing him disconnect from the Dark Forest and go through the idea that he didn’t have to be a killing machine. Actually seeing someone try to repent for their past because of their own agency and choices instead of being forced to by their clan (cough breezepelt cough) was really interesting.
I also liked him alot during Night Whispers, seeing him react to accidentally killing Russetfur during the last book, and throwing himself into his role in the prophecy. Now he had to be used for his power, He had to use the thing he was scared of for the good of his clan and you could see it throughout the book of him just, viewing himself as worthless, as a tool.
Anyway this is all me looking way into a badly written series of cat books
