“Isn’t that just the question; am I okay?” The witch responded in a dejected tone, laying against the roof of… where was she again? She wasn’t paying attention, she just climbed somewhere as quick as she could. All she knew was that she should still be in Toad Town, only disguised by the moonlight and shadows.
“In a very simple perspective, as of this moment I’m relatively fine. That’s just the issue though, I’m never fine, I’m usually a spitfire that’s ready to take up any challenge!
But - there’s the rest of the perspective on the matter of my being, all clumped up between the revelation that I’m a construct, I might not get the chance to hear that the only blood relative actually gives a damn, the well-being of everyone around me is in danger, I might never really get to be happy with myself due to being in hiding, the list really goes on at this point.”
As she listed on everything that was weighing her down at this very moment, she flicked her hands around, not even flinching at the sparks of fire and electricity that briefly emerged.
“… So, I suppose in perspective, I’m doing just great, eeheheh.” She could hardly even bring herself to force the most simple of chuckles.”I should be doing great, what do I have to worry about? I have goals in mind, and it’s not like my passion has dissipated. Maybe I just gave up being myself for too long that everything just got heavier than I could handle.”
“There’s still the whole rebellion issue, yeah...” He muttered to himself, sitting on the roof next to her. Looking up, he took in the sky above them, before back to her. The question brought his own worries to the forefront of his mind as he tilted his head, before laughing.
“You know, you’re starting to sound a lot like I did when we first reunited,” He joked. Then his expression turned to something a bit more serious, despite his smile, “We both have plenty to worry about, but we’ll get through it. We’re the good guys in this situation, after all. And you know what they say,” He laughed.
Slowly, he reached out to hold one of her hands, like how one would expect from a child for his mother.
