Finished both of these audiobooks this weekend. I listened to them while working on the pumpkin quilt. I’LL BE GONE IN THE DARK by Michelle McNamara. One woman’s obsessive search for the Golden State Killer. I generally avoid true stories and biographies as I have a hard time staying focused on them, but since I love true crime podcasts and tv shows, especially cold cases, I thought I’d try this one. I feel so sad that the author passed before knowing that this has finally been solved, but her interest in the case helped to keep it active. Great book and it was interesting to see how investigative work has evolved over the years. . The other book is LOOKING FOR ALASKA by John Green and narrated by Wil Wheaton. The story follows 16 year old Miles as he voluntarily attends a boarding school for the first time. There he finally makes friends and has many new experiences. This shows how much an impact one person can have on another.
