Inuyasha had fully intended to push on through the entire day. They could have covered a lot more ground if his human companions didn't have to stop and rest every so often. But then came that word—that damn, stupid, cursed word that immediately made his spine straighten up before the spell activated and shoved him down.

"Ka. Go. Meeee," he growled against the packed dirt, attempting to push himself up against the spell's effect until it released him. Then he was free to glare up at her as he curled his fists against the dirt in his indignation. "The hell was that for?! If you wanted a break, you should've said something!"

akjfhdsdf chloe is!!! so cool. ;u; i love seeing chloe on dash!! esp because that usually means we're getting some juicy headcanon stuff from her. it reminds me a lot of my earlier years writing for vartouhi where i had headcanons all the time, and that was such a fun happy time for me so i get warm happy feels whenever i see chloe do a headcanon thing on dash. <3 she's so talented not just with the headcanoning but also with writing and making graphics??? i'm so?? jealous??? but in a good way, not a competitive way. uvu her writing is so involved... i'm always blown away by how much care and effort goes into it... ya'll who format are on another level, istg. also! her most recent promo for gojo included a tarot card (temperance) and i was so stoked to see it 'cause i'm a huge nerd for tarot!! (i have 25 total oracle and tarot decks lmao) chloe is also super funny and super nice and!! i wish i wasn't so shy and could talk to her more ;u; / @godsbox 💖✨

Kogami Shinya doesn’t do parties, but he’s a sucker for puppy dog eyes, so he got roped into going to one anyway. He’s been babysitting a single beer for most of the time that he’s been there (two hours, he thinks, not including the hour before he took to help the host actually set everything up) from a brand he didn’t particurly care for, and each sip tasted more like piss than the last as it warms in his hands. People filled in by the thousandfold after him, and the crowd pushed him further into the walls.

He doesn’t dance either, but people danced in front of him, beside him, and sometimes, against him through the night. He thinks he’s far too sober for this, and the other refreshments didn’t seem too appealing. He concludes, then, by the last couple smooshing against him, that he’d just go home and text the host in a few hours that he had a blast (a lie) and that he couldn’t wait for the next one (another lie) until he feels something shapely and fuzzy brush against his legs. He looks down, gaze meeting those of a green-eyed, black and white cat.

“Oh.” He says aloud, and for the first time that night, his expression brightens. “You’re a big one, aren’t you? C’mere, kitty.” He makes kissy sounds at it, but it, in its feline way, looks disinterested and ambles off to the stairway. “Stubborn,” he mutters, and goes after it, pushing past the people gathered on the steps.

The cat goes into one of the rooms – empty, lit by a single blue lamp, posts plastered on its walls, seen plainly in the somewhat dim lighting. Kogami tries to follow the car, but makes an “OOF-” as another body slams into him, nearly making him drop the beer he forgot he still has in his hands.
