Greg Curry and the Lucasville Uprising and Aftermath
Honestly this is v worth reading, like the story of the Lucasville Uprising in itself is a fascinating piece of recent history, but the story of what Greg Curry went through afterwards also has some amazing moments. My favourite part so far is that he ended up in court for attacking a guard, and felt that his lawyer was not doing an adequate job of representing him or taking his suggestions for strategy on board, so he asked the judge to appoint a new lawyer but the judge told him it wasn’t possible at that stage of the proceedings, so he knocked his lawyer out in the middle of the courtroom. This was indeed successful in getting the court to assign a new lawyer to represent him.
