Some OTP's for Valentine's Day
END // The Reach of Resurrection
Alias // The Americans
You should know something, Sydney. I never wanted to have a child. The KGB demanded it. They knew it would ensure your father’s allegiance to me. You were simply a means to an end. And then when the doctor put you in my arms and I looked at you? So fragile. All I could think was, “How could I make such a terrible mistake?” And at that moment I was sure of one thing: I couldn’t be an agent and a mother. I’d either fail at one or both. And I chose to fail at being a mother. In time you’ll learn. You can’t do both. (Alias, “Maternal Instinct”)
You know, Elizabeth came to visit me a month before Paige was born. Just showed up at my doorstep. No umbrella, pregnant, wet to the bone, crying. I've never seen her cry before. So, the next morning, we're just laying there, and... She says, "I can't go back, raise this child, live this lie". Of course, you know, she got to go back. It was something greater than her or you or me. (The Americans, “Gregory”)

100 Days of Favorites: Male Characters Day 26 Gregory Thomas of The Americans played by Derek Luke
Gregory Thomas was played by Derek Luke on the TV Show The Americans. He was a civil rights activist turned KGB spy by his married Russian lover. He died in a firefight with the police rather than be arrested by them. (He is one of the only two male minorities in the show, both killed off in the first season.)
You know what I wish, as I fall asleep every night? That I’ll wake up and not be worried.
