Was texting my Grandpableck GG about Cardassian voles, my newest fixation in DS9 that I am hyped to meet(it’s taking me a while to watch the show cuz I have to take a break after every episode on account of the sheer amount of joy that I receive after watching one,) and we had a conversation that I want to share. Lol.

The Gremlins comparison was unavoidable. Look at those things and tell me that I am wrong.

Redesign Challenge

I decided to distract from the crazy crap happening this week with a challenge. The challenge is redesigning a character. The rules of the challenge.

You choose a character from any series like cartoons, books, shows and video games. They can not be OCs. Like Mario from Nintendo, Sonic from Sega, etc.

You then create your version of the character but they must have their signature characteristics in your work. An example you are doing Mario then you have to include his signature hat and mustache in a way or signature colors. Keep it close to canon in origin design.

I decided to do two. Flain from Lego Mixels and Pop Fizz from Skylanders. I'll start with the first, Flain.

Basically he's birdlike but the biggest characteristics is his horns and the flames around them. Like a torch.

Here's my redesign sketch.(By the way, I have no color tools and not on a computer.)

I kept his signature traits from his bird like nature and torch like head. I just made him more avian and a bit humanoid in design. His wings basically act like arms and hands but he has to ignite them in order to fly since he is an Infernite, a Fire Mixel. Made his tail and beak a bit longer, added sharpened points to his horns and made his feet sort of like a Harpie's and gave him a pair of shorts. (Don't know if there's flame retardant shirts in that universe.) I also kept the collar like outline by his neck area too.

Next we have Pop Fizz.

Yeah. This guy was quite difficult to redesign because well... He's basically if someone took a head and just gave it ears and limbs but said toss the body in general. Anyway his characteristics are the ears and his Gremlin like nature since well he is a Gremlin.

(Not like this guy from the movie Gremlins though😶👇)

So this is my redesign of Pop Fizz. I actually gave him a body and made him furrier around the head and ears(which someone made him look more like a rabbit from what I realized). Pop Fizz is basically Doctor Jekyll with an addiction to soda which his character is based off of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. So I made him look like a jolly yet mischevious scientist who focused more on the lab than staying properly in shape. He has a lab coat instead of the vest and pants but doesn't wear a shirt since going into a soda frenzy tends to destroy every shirt he wears. His eyes are slitted since it's said in his bio that he experimented on himself so much that he doesn't remember what he really used to look like.

So these are my attempts at the Redesign Challenge. If you like to try then i guess you should tag this or something. I like to see what you guys can come up with. 😁

2. Don’t expose them to light. (They just go on and on about how pretty they are and they just won’t shut up)

3. the most important thing, though, is whatever you do, don’t feed them cauldron goo after midnight

I have a sad. It is a very big sad...   

It won't seem to go away, and ignoring it only makes it crave more attention. 

I'm not sure how I should deal with this sad thing...

All I know is that I probably shouldn't feed it after midnight otherwise it might try to kill me.

For the first time ever (surprisingly), I have been gifted with Amish Friendship Bread starter. I swear it's like having a pet. My corn snake didn't require this much attention.

I might name it...

Gizmo. Its name is Gizmo. Because when you add water it multiplies.

I'm going to go do something productive now...
