I was tagged by msgenevieve447, who put my name beside the high council of the CS fandom. I have not stopped flailing.
Rule 1: Always post the rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 10 new ones
Rule 3: tag 5 new people + link them to this post.
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them
1. Which country would you most like to visit?
2. What was it that first attracted you to our shared fandom (OUAT)?
I love fairytales and reimaginings of them. I took a class in undergrad called "Grimm's Fairy Tales" and while I hated most of it because of my atrocious TA, the subject matter was fascinating and I've really retained a lot of the analysis of fairytales that I got out of it.
3. Favourite book that is so ‘favourite’ that it’s in danger of having to be replaced with a new copy?
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone - I actually have two copies, and both have pages missing and torn covers and ripped bindings. I'm thinking of buying the new versions.
4. Fan fiction (from any fandom) that would you most like to see come to life on the silver screen?
Oooh, this is a tough one. I'm going to go with the universe set in "A Princess and her Knight", a collection of Voltron fanfiction that was absolutely amazing in every way. It's been years (decades!) since they've been updated, but I would love to see them acted out.
5. Are you indignant or happy when you recognise a song from ‘your’ era has been sampled in a song for the generation below you?
I'm not a big music person or more specifically, a really big sentimental music person, and I have no idea what the generation below me listens to, so I can't really answer this one.
6. Default song to blast yourself with when you can’t get moving in the morning?
"I'll Make a Man Out of You" - Mulan Soundtrack (but I don't really listen to music first thing in the morning)
7. If you have children (or already have them) in the future and you see that they’re following in your footsteps and doing the fandom thing, would you give them sage advice about how to avoid common pitfalls, or let them learn about trolls and flamewars on their own?
I would make sure they didn't get into something they're psychologically or emotionally ready for. I'm pretty sure I learned things from fanfiction that I didn't learn from other, real sources first, and I'm pretty sure that it may have traumatized me at the time.
8. Pirate or priest? (that’s a trick question, that one. LOL)
9. Do you have a pet, and if so, does it have a fandom-related name?
10. Finish this sentence: My favourite thing to do on a day off is:
It's been a long time since I've done this, so I hope it lives up. So my questions:
1. Favorite kind of weather?
2. Finish the sentence: Keep calm and _____.
3. If your friends were throwing you a surprise birthday party, what kind of cake should they get you?
4. If you could have a wardrobe full of clothes from a single decade, which decade would it be?
5. Have you ever met any celebrities?
6. It's trivia night; for which topic are you a valuable asset to the team?
7. If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
8. If you ruled your own country, who would you get to writer your national anthem?
9. What historical figure would you most like to have a discussion with?
10. If you had a time traveling DeLorean, where/when would you go and why?
