I feel like "greyphobia" needs to be a word. Very often greysexuals and greyromantics are either not acknowledged or are treated as basically allo or basically fully aro/ace. It seems pretty similar to what I deal with from being nonbinary and what I've read about biphobia.

Greys shouldn’t have to conform to your Terracentric concept of “non-binary genders” just because they don’t have biological binary sexes.

I mean this both in the “sometimes Greys will identify as binary genders” way, AND in the “fuck you, Grey gender has nothing to do with human gender” way.

This is such a long, ranting post of drivel that my phone was unable to cope with it!

Basically, the above blogger is too "pure" an aroace to understand that some aros and aces might feel attraction once in a while. Some might experience it a few times a year and others might only experience it once every twenty years. The "expert" above thinks that either way, they cannot be A-spec.

See the grey in the flags? The grey in the A-spec flags has been put there for the greys -- demis included. Because all attraction is a spectrum. I have listened to M-spec (bi, pan, etc.) people say they are more attracted to one gender than another but are still attracted to more than one gender, thus M-spec.

Finally, gatekeeping the LGBTQ+ Community is rot. To gatekeep our own community, when exclusionists are doing exactly the same thing to us is even worse.

If you cannot relate to a grey ace, a grey aro or an angled aroace, either try listening to them or walk away. Long, ranting posts like the piffle I have just attempted to use as an example will just make you look arrogant and foolish.

I really don't like the way some repulsed aros and aces in fandom treat anyone writing the blorbos they project onto as grey or favorable aspecs as like, a scheme to win Representation Points while keeping the character Basically Allo. It couldn't be that that's an experience worth writing about for its own sake.

this is NOT an anti-nongreys in gop kickball post just to be clear. i WANT everyone to be able to play gop kickball bc i genuinely love this game so much and want to see it spread all across pandaisia.

that being said i am SICK of the discourse about gop kickball being "intentionally exclusionary to nongreys". what the fuck are you talking about. gop kickball has been around for CENTURIES (if not longer!) before greys formally established contact with other planets. the fact that most neurohelms are best suited for grey head shapes is not purposeful exclusion. the fact that non-telekinetic species are at a major disadvantage without amplifiers added to their neurohelms is not purposeful exclusion. gop kickball is not just a sport but a long tradition of the go'rey people meant to hone their natural psychic abilities. it was never MEANT to include OR exclude any nongreys because they didnt even know about nongreys when they were creating it! frankly to call gop kickball exclusionary is EXTREMELY entitled. you can be sad that you cant afford the modified neurohelms to play like a grey but this is someone else's culture that you are a visitor in. you dont let yourself into someones house and complain that their chairs are too big. those chairs are for THEM. thats THEIR HOUSE.

and this isnt even to mention how greys are often excluded from other species sports because they cant build muscle in the same way as other species and have different limb proportions. but noooo when a grey cant participate in other species sports thats just a skill issue. but when other species cant participate in grey sports then they HAVE to be accommodated or else its xenophobia? hm. okay. im SURE you dont have internalized greyphobia or anything...

Human and non-grey Gop kickball fans need to remember that the sport is made by greys, for greys. It’s great that they have allowed non-grey players to join in, but at the end of the day, it really is a Grey sport.

The reason there is a disproportionate amount of Greys as opposed to other species in the major leagues is that… that’s who the game was made for. Not some conspiracy of discrimination, and CERTAINLY not misanthropy.
