Our weekend visit to Grey County wouldn't be complete without learning a little bit about the county. Grey Roots Museum & Archives is located just outside of Owen Sound and preserves the history & promotes the heritage of the area. 🌾 The Museum houses several exhibits and collections of artefacts from around Grey County. The Moreston Heritage Village recreates life in the area around 1853, 1885 and beyond when many pioneers settled the area, with guides dressed in period clothing who provide you with information on the buildings, history, and the lives of the people. 📍 The logo and 20foot sculpture design is based on a sheaf of grain. The 5 strands each a different colour represent 5 different elements of Grey County. Green - forestry Grey - rocks, minerals, and Escarpment Red - the people of Grey (the heart) Yellow - the agriculture and farmlands Blue - waterfalls, lakes, and rivers of the area 🏞 #visitgreycounty #greyroots #Ontariotravel (at Grey Roots) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg4d5aZrfPG/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
