Greyshield High (Prologue)
Click. Click. Click. The obnoxious bell rang. Click. Doors closed. Click. Click. A locker slammed. Click. Click. Heels against tiled floor as a stern woman made her way down what should have been a deserted hall. Eyes narrowed at a student, another freshman who still hadn't learned their way around yet. What was the name... "Miyako. You belong in Biology. I do believe that's upstairs. I suggest you move." The freshman nodded her head vehemently, and scurried off. It was only nine in the morning, and she needed a drink already. Click. Click. Click. Students were settling into their seats, and teachers were beginning their lectures. It was almost just as it should be. She made her way to the detention room, already knowing what she would find there. She had assigned him to in-school-suspension for three days after his last stunt. Of course, neither of them had mentioned how no notice had been sent home to his parents. Click. Click. Cli- it stopped as she passed from the tiled floor onto thin carpet. And there he was, reclining at one of the half a dozen desks that filled the room. "Aztook..." She sounded aggrivated. This was a double-edged sword that she balanced upon. He was getting more brash. Trying to draw her attention. She should have been curving this behaviour. Assigning actual detentions, giving actual punishment for his crimes. But where was the fun in that?
