Two time champions... the Gridania Sea Chocobos! The Conjurers of Gridania support the Sea Chocobos every year with a special blessing that allows them to breath underwater and fly through the sea with ease. All Shroudfolk are welcome onto the team, even Duskwights, Poachers, and Moogles. It is said when they train, the entire forest gathers to watch them.
The Sea Chocobos train in the wild, with no constructed Blitzball Stadiums to call their own. And in fresh water. They are named after a seafoam feather variant of Chocobos bred by a Moogle farm hidden in the Deep Shroud. Their namesakes are rumored to be able to swim deep into the ponds of the Shroud and even in darkest depths of the ocean. But will the Chocobos’ tranquil image survive another season? With two recent victory under their wings, the Chocobos have become targets of those who wish to see the Shroud humilated, and with two of the most violent players the league has ever seen accepting the helm of captain... Well, they say to make a omelet, you’ve got to break a few eggs!
