Puck looked up at the brown haired girl. She was beautiful and she was way out of his league. They came from two different lives and he knew that. She was bound to be a star and he was bound to be some loser stuck in this shitty town. He had watched her for days and how she would get slushied everyday and he was tired of it. Tired of watching such a beautiful girl and this was happening. He had the last straw and had to punch someone in the face, but one person turned into four and he was being jumped. Puck got some hits in, but it wasn’t enough.
When he woke up he found himself in the nurses office with the girl right next to him whispering that it was going to be okay. “I know it’s going to be okay just because I don’t have to watch them do this to you again today.” A smile broke on his face. Noah Puckerman actually had feelings and he was showing it. Badly.
Rachel had never had anyone defend her before, and while she opposed violence, she had to admit that she was flattered by the gesture, however stupid it may have been. She watched as a few of his friends helped him through to the nurses office, keeping her distance and biding her time until she felt safe enough to go and see for herself whether he was okay.
She waited for the bell to ring, slipping away unnoticed from the rest of her peers as she escaped through the hall and into the nurses office. There he was, a little bruised as he lay on the small bed in the back, and she pulled up a chair and waited for him to wake. “It was still an incredibly stupid thing to do, you could have been seriously hurt” she told him, though her lips broke out into a shy smile, “But thank you, it was also probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me,”
