A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read:
My partner and I are both booksellers so I can’t keep count of how many books they want me to read but they’ve been pretty persistent when it comes to books by Chloe Delaume or Martin Winckler. Lately they also told me about that manga by Nekomaki about an old man and his cat, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love it.
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up:
Circe by Madeline Miller. I know I’ll fall in love once again with her writing. I also know that it won’t be as special as The Song of Achilles has been to me. So I’m waiting for the right occasion for me to read it.
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t finished yet:
I own but still haven’t read the second novel of Six of Crows. I’ll probably read it this summer tho.
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read:
Of Mice and Men.
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read:
Alice in Wonderland.
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet:
There are many. Gone Girl, Tales of the City, The Hauting of Hill House...I could go on. I did the opposite with Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro tho and I don’t regret it, I don’t know about the movie but the book is simply amazing.
A book you see all over Tumblr but haven’t picked up yet:
The Raven Cycle.
