"Is there something you wanted?"
؟ [why not a modern AU? xD]
Modern!AU: School/Academy
The canteen was loud as always. People in their summer uniforms bustling around, carrying trays or cups of cold drinks and laughing loudly. Sima Gan was probably not very much different in that sense aside from the fact that he couldn't handle all the noise very well and had managed to escape from one of his friend's terrifyingly strong headlocks.
He waved at them before turning around, almost running into the younger girl, luckily managing to balance his open drink can before it could spill although his smile dropped instantly as he regarded her.
"You're short for a high school student" He observed rather randomly, although he was certain he knew her from somewhere. Did they attend the same class? It didn't matter, he was terrible with names.

"oh gosh! sorry i totally didn't mean to hit you. THat was totally my fault!"
GrinWithout-TheCat has disturbed Sima Gan
Sima Gan was standing out on the raised platform of the palace, his gaze focused on the setting sun beyond the horizon. There was a cool breeze that evening, the wind toying with his obsidian curls that were partially shading his dual coloured eyes of gold and blue.
It did not seem as though he had acknowledged her presence, for he was humming a sad little tune that was probably so old that the words had long been forgotten.
However, he paused sharply, dual coloured eyes narrowing as his gaze flickered towards her.
“It’s not polite to stare, my Lady”
