Aurelia Lüftner ( * 07.06.1931 - Großgmain, Saturday † 07.12.2024)
Those who knew Aurelia better called her “Reli”. She died at 4.00 a.m. in a retirement home in Großgmain. There were three pictures in her room in the retirement home. One of Florian Koller (her grandchild), another of Florian's child and one with her daughter Nikoletta Koller. Florian Koller is the son of Nikoletta Koller. Nikoletta Koller also visited her regularly in the retirement home. Reli lived in her house at Rosenstrasse 417, Hinterreit 5084 in Großgmain for many decades. Her husband was Adolf ("Adi") Lüftner. He died much earlier.
Occupation: She worked as a waitress at Café Tomaseli in the city of Salzburg for many years. After she retired, her daily routine was very regular.
Her dog “Pfiffi”
When her husband was still alive, she had a little dog called “Pfiffi”. After this dog died, the dog was buried in her garden.
In her last decade: Cat "Luna"
She took in her cat “Luna”, who came running up to her house one day. At this time, Reli was already a widow and alone in the house. Luna the cat slept next to Aurelia Lüftner in bed every day and was very faithful until her last day at her house. The cat “Luna” also took part when Reli was sad or suffered from loneliness. Luna regularly sat next to Reli on her terrace. They both enjoyed very often the sun and the fresh forest air, as well as the view of her garden and her flowers. After Reli's death “Luna" lives further in the house.
The end of Year 2024 In the end, Reli was admitted to the retirement home in Großgmain due to her poor health. Therefore she lost her house, her cat “Luna” and her access to her own bank accounts and savings. In the retirement home, she had a very simple, sober and functional room with a large television that she never used. On her table were cookies and pictures of memories with their relatives from days long gone.
Long-term friend with Lucia Nadia Cipriani
Aurelia Lüftner and Lucia Cipriani met at Café Tomaselli. They were work colleagues. After that, they were friends for many decades (more than 40 years !) until her death on December 7, 2024. Reli's favorite Chinese restaurants when she went out to eat:
Reli went to the “Panda” restaurant (Walserstraße 147) for many years and was a regular there. Later, she went to the Chinese restaurant “Yiyami” at Franz Josef Str. 24 in the city of Salzburg instead.
