Stiles drew in a shaky breath, trying his best to not roll his eyes at Lydia. She was in labor and what did she care the most about? Her freaking reservations. Not their baby, or her contractions, or even the fact that she was really and truly physically leaking, but their dinner reservations at some ridiculous restaurant he hadn't even wanted to go to in the first place. It reminded him of somewhere Peter would go and sip champagne while discussing all of the ways to which he could ruin their lives. "Lydia, can we not right now? Like seriously, if there was ever an appropriate time for a freaking rain check, it would be right now. I doubt they want you giving birth on their freshly lacquered floors or whatever."

"I think I know what's going on here."

"Do you? Because I really don't." Karma threw her hands up in the air in exasperation before falling back onto her bed and staring at the ceiling. "I swear, Amy, I'm not trying to make this difficult. It's just...weird seeing you with her. I get this angry feeling in my stomach that makes me want to rip her hair out or throw rocks at her face." She pounded her fist against the mattress dramatically. "Why does this whole sexuality thing have to be so confusing?!"

"Just stop fucking with me. I can't handle it anymore."

Addison stopped in her tracks, whirling around so she could face Samantha head on. She wouldn't run from this anymore. It was time to face it all like a big girl and stop lying. "You can't handle it anymore, Sam? You can't handle it?! Wanna know what I can't handle? I can't handle being gay. I can't handle the looks on my parents' faces when they see I've brought a girl home. I can't handle when they call you a Hufflepuff mudblood who's good for nothing. So please excuse me for not bloody telling you what they thought of us. I was trying to spare your feelings, for Merlin's sake! Everything might be sunshine and roses in your little muggle world, but it's a different reality for me."

"Did you mean any of it?"

Gwen swallowed, blinking a few times to keep the tears at bay. "Every single word of it, Peter. I try not to make a habit of saying things I don't mean." She watched him carefully then, trying to assess his full reaction to everything she had said. Perhaps confessing her true thoughts on their relationship hadn't been the right thing to do at the moment. He needed to know though. If he felt the way she did -- abandoned -- then she would want him to give her the same courtesy. "I know you're busy with important things. It's not like you're avoiding me for video games or other girls, it's just -- Sometimes, I wish you would quit saving the world for just one day and save us instead."

"Was he worth it?"

"Mary, you can't just-- You have to understand! Please. He's my husband. Bash is my husband. I have a duty to him and to God. And you... you have a duty to your country and to Francis." Kenna grabbed Mary's hand, lacing their fingers together and squeezing tight. "I love you so so much, but the odds are stacked against us. God himself is against us. You're my Queen and you'll be forever in my heart; yet, we cannot carry on like this." She sniffled, silently cursing herself as she wiped a few escaped tears away with the heel of her hand. Then, upon instinct, her free hand moved south to rest on her stomach protectively. "I'm so sorry."

This is legit why I won't join RPs that offer fraternals. Because I just ... can't .... at the 'options' that are given out sometimes. This is right up here with Ashley Benson being a Puckerman fraternal.
