Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog, but I figured this was one of the better ways to get some information out there.
Recently, by that I mean about two months or so ago, I got involved with a company called Grosse Poitrine LLC. They say their focus is making bras for larger sizes, but so far they’ve only really gotten to the point of designing them. To my knowledge, no products have actually been made and with the way the head of the company handles things, it’s not too surprising. I was offered the position to produce their designs early March, and after weeks of absolutely no materials to make anything with, I decided to cut my losses and quit.
Only when I had contacted them to quit, almost a month after being hired and still nothing, they managed to get the materials shipped out (I had been told I would be notified when they were shipped, but I hadn’t heard anything about it until 6pm after I had contacted them about quitting). As the package was already on its way, I agreed to send it from where I live to their main office in California, under the impression they would reimburse me for the shipping as that had happened the handful of times I had shipped things to them during the hiring process (I was sent materials to make a sample to show that I could produce quality bras, for example).
I shipped said materials out to them on April 16th, costing me about $65 to ship essentially across the county (Midwest to West Coast, box was considerably heavy). Unlike any previous contact, my email letting them know it was sent out went with no response letting me know it arrived and no reimbursement sent to me. At first, I thought maybe they were busy, but it has been almost an entire month since and I have gotten absolutely no message or calls whatsoever to even say “no, we don’t want to reimburse you because you don’t work for us anymore”. Just absolute silence.
Therefore, I would like to put it out there for absolutely no one to buy anything from them, should they actually have product to sell. I think anyone who is that childish to not at least respond deserves to have their company crumble due to zero sales.
