I was wondering if you would be willing to help a session with a few minor explanations for some specifics? I know we probably have little chance for success, but is there any way we could avoid complete failure? The mage of time is the leader, a seer of void is attempting to sabotage the game, a bard of life with no knowledge of what the major plans are, a grimdark rogue of blood, and a knight of rage and thief of space as the frog breeders? Thank you for your time :D
the mage would be manipulated by time (though would eventually learn how to manipulate it instead);
the seer would passively lead their session to victory by knowing everything there is to know about secrets, nothingness, and things which had once existed;
the bard would passively invite destruction through/of life forces, energy, and raw power;
the rogue would passively steal bonds and unity for the benefit of their team;
the knight would actively exploit negative emotions, passion, and anger to protect their friends/help with the frog breeding;
the thief would actively steal space, velocity, and creation for themselves;
(keep in mind this is just in a general session, however it may still apply to yours)
benevolent players: rogue of blood
neutral players: mage of time, seer of void
problematic players: bard of life, knight of rage, thief of space
good call making the mage the leader. given they can see into every timeline possible, and can actively change it, they make a good leader. they know exactly how to stay on the alpha timeline, and ensure their teammates don’t screw things up.
the seer could be dangerous, and in this case, since they’re attempting to sabotage the game, they’re a force to be reckoned with. void is related to things which had once existed, things that were never meant to exist, and the void itself - aka, the horrorterrors. if anything, i imagine they might be able to communicate with the horrorterrors themselves and could easily make some damage that way.
now, you mentioned the rogue is grimdark. given how little canon explanation we have for such things, i’ll just be going off of my personal speculation. when rose went grimdark, she wasn’t acting like a stereotypical seer of light. in my opinion she suffered from a class inversion, which turned her into a temporary witch of void! i think this was how she was able to manifest the horrorterrors themselves (such as in the seer: descend flash), given void is in direct collation with them.
if class inversion is indeed a factor with grimdarkness, that would make the rogue of blood’s abilities more like a knight of breath’s; they would exploit freedom, direction, and literal breath to protect others. that being said, i don’t think a grimdark rogue would be much of a problem here, if not completely impossible.
the bard would definitely need a babysitter in this session for obvious reasons.
the knight and thief are one of the worst pairings for frog breeding out there, in my mind. the knight exploits anger and negativity, while the thief is busy stealing things related to their pivotal aspect! now, the thief wouldn’t be terrible at frog breeding, they just need the right partner; which is definitely not this knight.
all of that being said, these guys have little to no chance of success. luckily for them, they have a time player, and the ability to reset their universe if need be!
