#GroupConciousness ((White Conciousness Vs Black Consciousness)) "As a form of intelligence, consciousness is the central instrument for human problem-solving activities, for guiding the types of interactions we have with ourselves, others, and the environment. It determines the effects we have on the world and, conversely, the effect the world has on us. It is therefore a power; a power because it can enable and facilitate the achievement of certain ends; because it can create, motivate, and inform assertive and defensive behavior. Hence, because of its power to determine human social power relations, the control of consciousness is a primary objective of interpersonal and intergroup interactions. Because consciousness is instrumental to the achievement of certain ends, one individual or group often strives to shape and control the consciousness of the other as a means for helping to achieve its own goals. This almost invariably occurs where one person or group has inordinate power over another or where one group or person is inordinately dependent on another person or group. Such has been and still is the case with White and Black group relations.
