Some of us take time to consider and debate over what partners we would want, but even on my first day I was thinking about this and came to a pretty quick and fun conclusion. Admittedly I am having an issue with "pokemon teams" my headmates like to make as well. But Digimon it clicked for me for me right away.
CHILD/ROOKIE: KOTEMON!
This little one I immediately felt a connection for. A shy blue creature with big yellow eyes and a desire to be a master swordsmen one day? Strong sense of justice? It would be a wonderful sparring partner and apprentice. Kotemon also tend to cry a lot, something my host and systemmates do as well. And I would nurture it like I nurture and protect them.
ADULt/CHAMPION: YAKSAMON
Yaksamon is a "demon man" digimon who is said to be a powerful swordsman with a strong sense of justice and protecting the innocent and the feel quite the kinship with this one as well, I also think it works aesthetically as an evolution of Kotemon, keeping a shade of blue, a mask, and its swordsman ship(even if now they wield two blades). Even some of the poses they are drawn in remind me of poses I have been drawn in as well.
PERFECT/ULTIMATE: KARATENMON
Karatenmon continues the swordsmen angle, this time trading in wooden blades for one of metal. I believe it is based off of the Japanese Tengu(but I could be wrong). It continues the "demon man" designation of Yaksamon and all 3 stages so far have also been able to do some sort of magic which is neat. It also adds wings into the mix which is a nice transition to the final stage.
ULTIMATE/PERFECT SLASHANGEMON
And so the demon becomes an Angel? I am quite fond of angels even if others would cast me as a demon. Slashangemon is a culmination of all of the elements both in apperance and personality wise. We have the swordsman angel, the masked elements. The spiritual magic and the strong sense of justice. The blue is reminiscent of the colors found in Kotemon and Yaksamon, the wings come from Karatenmon. It is all there. The apperance also reminds me of my teammate Angel.
Now a spirtual swordsmen with a strong sense of justice... who does that remind you of? Me, ja? And while I do not hide my dashing charms now a days there was a time I hid behind a mask yeah? The Image Inducer made by Mr.Stark is a type of mask yeah? So I understand my friends desire to hide their face...
