Mike Schrum from Miami, Florida was a Dishwasher in New York City in the late 1990′s, where while following Coach James Rodriguez, he worked his way up from a Dishwasher to Kitchen Manager and at the time became the youngest Kitchen Manager in that company.  He has since become a Leader in his own right.  Mike now continues to share what he learned from Coach James and now helps add value to others. Mike has gone to create results in many Restaurant since then and now is impacting one of the hottest  Restaurants Chains in Florida.  “ I am truly proud of Mike. Running of the Goats, Buccoo, Tobago

While in Tobago for Tobago Fashion Weekend, we ventured off the fashion park to some other events in off time, one of which was the First International Running of the Goats. Co-hosted by Growing Leaders, the event also featured ironman triple amputee Rajesh Durbal running alongside the goats. 

Durbal's run with Tobagonian goats is part of his 2012 "No excuses tour". 

Rajesh Durbal was born in the US to Trinidadian parents with a congenital deformity of both lower legs and his right arm, when he was one year old his right arm and both of his legs were amputated below the knee.In additional he had surgery to replace bones in each leg and his partial right arm. This did not prevent him from graduating with a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems from Capella University and landing a lead job at the New York Stock Exchange. In June 2009, he completed his first sprint triathlon (swim, cycle, run) in a time of 1:48. At that time he set a goal to complete the world toughest multi sport race the Iron Man. That’s a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile cycle ride and then a full 26.2 mile marathon. In just over 14 hours. This was an extraordinary feat and he has repeated his success and is getting even faster! A primary goal he has is to spread awareness that we all can live amazing lives filled with meaning and purpose by his mantra “LIVE FREE. Live Life Without Limitations!” If he can do it then anyone can!
