premise follows a band of orphans picked up by a female mob boss in korea’s chinatown whom they call “mother”, taught to resort to organized begging, loan sharking, forging identity cards, and assaulting debtors. some struggle to justify their actions, while others commit themselves because it’s all they have. survival of the fittest at its best.
