Gianna Maria Canale in Guarany (1948) diretto da Riccardo Freda, biografia del compositore brasiliano Carlos Gomez. I costumi sono di Maria De Matteis
Brazilian Mythology (Guarany Pantheon) ~~ Abaçaí, God of Euphoria The god spirit that takes someone before the battle, or while singing and dancing. [x]
Brazilian Mythology (Guarany Pantheon) ~~ Rudá, God of Love Rudá, the god of love, lives in the clouds. He is responsible for making love flourish in women’s hearts. [x]
Brazilian Mythology (Guarany Pantheon) ~~ Guaraci, Mother of the Sun When the portuguese conquers learned of the goddess of the sun, Guaraci (Guaracy, Quaracy, Coaraci), they connected her with the sun’s greek god, Apolo. This believe spread in the Tupi-Guarany nation with the portuguese language taught by the jesuits. They would convert the natives to the Catholic religion, making a bridge from Catholic saints and god to the Guarany Pantheon. The gender of Guaraci, the Sun’s Mother, changed from female to male to match the other male sun gods around the world (Apolo, Bhrama, Osiris), even when the etymology of her name says otherwise (Cy = mother). In the myth, she is in love with Jaci, Mother of the Moon, what probably helped the change of gender. Guaraci is the one that gives life, creator of all living beings. [x] [x] in portuguese
