Beauty obsession: Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire lippies
Plus, find out how you can score 25% off your next Guerlain purchase!
I’ve always been a longtime fan of Guerlain because they consistently score high in my top criteria for buying: pigment and packaging.
Case (heh) in point: Their Rouge G de Guerlain lippie, which comes in the cutest, fat, silver bullet complete with a pop-up mirror. A bit of trivia, the case was conceptualized by Guerlain’s Olivier Echaudemaison and realized by jeweler Lorenz Bäumer (he designed Princess Charlene of Monaco’s evening reception tiara—yes, she had different tiaras for that day *sigh*).
I recently learned that the bullet is actually refillable (it would be a crying shame to throw these away!!), but the refills aren’t readily available yet. I want to kick myself for not knowing about this earlier, since the brand releases limited edition cases. I could’ve bought several of these and transplanted my favorite shades into them T_T (I’m so ready for the next collection to make up for lost time, lol).
Look at the gorgeous cases from previous collections:
I’m currently obsessed with their La Petite Robe Noire lippies, a moisturizing, shiny lip color patterned after the fragrance of the same name (the lippies are slightly scented with the same fruity fragrance). If you’re looking to glam it up, Rouge G, with its creamy pigment and luxurious case, is the way to go. La Petite Robe Noire is for when you want to be playful and casual.
Don’t you just hate it when the shade name you want isn’t the shade that’s right for you??? I wanted to get “Rose Ribbon” or “Pink Ballerinas” but they were too pale for me. I ended up with “Red Bowtie” and “Floral Headband,” a bright cherry red and a medium pink. I like how the formula is lightweight and buildable. It’s a bit sheer, so you’ll need to swipe it on if you want more coverage.

Guerlain’s adorable packaging is not just limited to their lippies—it’s everywhere! That’s how I got roped into buying a travel-sized pair of mini Meteorites on a plane ride (yes, the shopping starts on the flight lol). One of my favorite blushes is from a collection three years back, Madame Rougit. It’s a four-color blush that you mix to get a unique shade or use one by one. The pattern on the powder looked like lingerie and the compact had a slot underneath for a full-sized flat cheek brush.
For Spring 2016, Guerlain’s blush comes in a shiny red compact (the refill size is similar to their regular blush so you can reuse the compact!) and I love the pattern on the powder:
If that’s not enough to make you smile, I don’t know what is. The eyeshadow has the word “Enjoy” embossed on it. :)
Here’s something to make you smile even more. If you drop by Guerlain’s Greenbelt 5 boutique, you can get a 25% off discount off your total purchase by using the code “tatiny010.” Look for Joralyn or Bevs and just tell them the code, and poof, 25% off will be subtracted from your total. Yay, yay!
The Greenbelt 5 boutique is located at the G/F, near TWG and across Balenciaga. Let me know how it goes!!! Happy shopping!!
