Back when I was doing the Filaments Project somebody I no longer speak to got Bono to get The Edge’s guitar tech to pick up some strings from Springsteen’s guitar tech, which were then sent to me. I made an ebay listing. An hour after I posted it I got a call from Dallas Shue, the U2 guitar tech. “Bruce doesn’t allow any of his stuff to go on eBay. If he finds out there will be Hell to pay. I took the listing down, promised never to sell them, and to please convey my deepest apologies to Bruce’s tech Kevin. And later that day Kevin called and I told him the same thing. So I’ve been sitting on these for about 12 years. Couple months ago I was sent a Very Generous anonymous donation. This is my Thank You to them. All but / of Bruce’s strings are in this.
