About God! Jaskier, can we have a snippet of him meeting Ciri once he has solid form back? uwu
OK it’s not quite what you asked for but he still technically helps her. Hope you like it!!
okay, so Jaskier obviously knows about Ciri, cause he definitely played at Cintra a few times while she was growing up.
When Jaskier dies he still wasn’t super close to her, since he and Geralt never really made up after the mountain until after.
Since Ciri isn’t a full-fledged Witcher he doesn’t really know much about who she is, she’s not technically someone in his charge. But every once in a while he wonders how she’s doing, since Geralt had to have had her around.
He gets a tug one day and it’s Geralt, and he sits quietly beside him when he sees Geralt hold a finger to his lips.
“What do you need?” Jaskier asks softly. Geralt is looking across the fire and that’s when Jaskier sees her, a sleeping girl who looks distressed. She doesn’t seem entirely human, and her name echoes in his mind, Cirillia, and Jaskier realizes it’s his child surprise. “She doesn’t look well,” Jaskier comments.
“I didn’t know who else to call,” Geralt says, and he sounds so sad. “I don’t want to wake her because she needs the rest, but I can’t watch her suffer.” Jaskier feels proud of his friend. He’s come a long way in how much he cares for others. “Can you help her?” Jaskier lifts a hand to try and figure out what he can. Her pleasant dreams are being haunted, he realizes.
“Poor thing,” he mumbles, feeling the ache as if it was his own. He cleanses her dreams to make them sweet, and sees a memory of being carried by Geralt play in her mind. “There,” he says. Geralt sighs in relief, evidently the stress on her face has eased.
“Thank you,” Geralt whispers. Jaskier smiles lightly. Jaskier looks at her carefully. There is a protective instinct that swells within him, undoubtedly the same that Geralt is feeling. He wants to shield her from the evils of the world.
Jaskier leaves after chatting with Geralt for a while, whisked away to go assist another Witcher somewhere else on the continent.
He doesn’t tell Geralt that he changes a coin in her purse to silver, should she ever find herself in trouble again.
