My brains been wracking since the beginning of the newest patch.. the only reason we “technically” found a route to the new map was due to Kuda sending scouts back to Starlit Weld to get.. something. And after the end of current section of story we never quite hear what it is.

I saw a post floating around mentioning the dialogue where Kuda says she’ll assign her underlings to “Project 5388”, and that it definitely spells out Sebb. What with Sebb’s augmented creatures still being utilized in the newest map, and Kuda jumping back her old magic based experimenty ways via using the Seer Forge with project Omega. There was mention with one of the documents that the candidates we fought weren’t even the best pick for the roll… I think we’re going to get a VERY seer forge souped up possibly augmented Sebb in the final map and boy I can’t wait to see it.

Just random headcanons/thoughts about what we know of Vloxx and Kuda thus far.

So with Vloxx, we know he was warning the Arcane Council about the Magus Dam, which collapsed and set off his disillusionment with their authority. This implies it was a pretty big disaster. In Rata Sum, there is Magus Valley which seems to consist of just a waterfall beneath the Applied Sciences Lab, which makes me wonder if that was meant to be the site of the dam? It doesn't appear to lead anywhere except the lake beneath the city... unless it wasn't supposed to be a lake at all. I could totally see some mines down there, or even a smaller town getting flooded and perishing.

We also know he started off as a golemancer in the Inquest before he climbed the ranks. He also only assumed Directorship in the past year, which means about the time we travelled to Janthir? Maybe slightly before? But we don't know the timeline of his entire career, what he did, who he worked with, when he began following the Commander’s deeds, or what was happening between the Magus Dam incident and the Inquest. I think Anet will elaborate more in the coming episodes, but it's fun to headcanon about. Maybe he faced the Commander in a skirmish while he was still a golemancer. Maybe that break between Rata Sum and the Inquest was spent bouncing around factions while he got increasingly disappointed with Tyrian leadership. Had he ever considered joining the Pact, i wonder?

As for Kuda, it's not explicitly mentioned by anybody else other than Sebb, but it would seem she's fallen from grace. She's still treated as an overseer, but compared to how she was in LS4, she's now getting strung along by Sebb's experiments, he called her and her work obsolete, and we're seeing no traces of Kuda's old work with dragon minions anywhere. Makes me wonder why or how she ended up on Vloxx's expedition at all.

It's a bit of a shame we don't hear her thoughts on the Commander, given they're the reason why her life's work ceased to be relevant (blowing Rata Primus up, ending the Dragon Cycle, etc). But, also, given that they're a Dragon Champion... would Kuda see another opportunity?
