When Will began seeing things clearly from Releves onwards the camera angle finally FINALLY switched to the other side. The same view that we see Hannibal with every other patient except Will, until now. Against the bright lights of the windows. Exposed. The truth slowly dawning on Will. We are on the other side of the mirror. We’re crossing the boundary back to reality. It also looks like the chaise is missing… I’m not sure why though. Barriers breaking down (too far-fetched?)
That's not quite accurate, although it's a really cool idea. We've seen several similar shots with both Hannibal and his patient framed against those fantastic curtains. I know of two examples off the top of my head: Coquilles with Hannibal and Bella Crawford; and Sorbet, with Hannibal and Franklin. You're right, though, the light is never as dramatic or beautiful as it is in this final shot.
