Iris enjoyed her job at the library quite a lot. Surrounded by books, talking about books, sharing enthusiasm for books... really, it was perfect. She didn’t comment on everything that people checked out (especially anything personal) but sometimes if something caught her eye that she knew about she’d say something.

In the case of a younger blonde that had come up to check out several beginner cookbooks, two of her passions merged at once. Iris grinned. “Someone’s getting ready to start some culinary magic, hm?”

The Lesser of Two Weevils || Dirk & Marla

[ ✉ ] --- Bright, sunny. Warm, but not too hot... and a refreshing breeze, carrying the fragrance of freshly cut grass and spring flowers. Today was the perfect day for some bug catching, and the first thing Dirk had done after finishing up his delivery route was to go back home and fetch his net and a few collecting jars.

Once he was all geared up and inside of the Fugue Forest, he sets out on his hunt for insects... but mainly beetles, since they were his favorite. And the coolest, of course.

As he walks along, he whistles a low tune to himself, stopping in his tracks when he sees a girl not too far ahead of him. Now what was a fair maiden like her doing in a place like this, all on her lonesome? Didn’t she know monsters roamed around these parts?

Dirk sure did, and would NOT hesitate to use his time magic to make a speedy retreat if any tried to corner him.

“Yo! You alright over there?” He calls out to the girl, wondering what it was she was doing.

Pursuit of Knowledge | Gill & Marla

An unexpected run-in with an old... acquaintance left Gill short on patience even in class the next day, and so when a bag belonging to the girl seated beside him toppled over and spilled its contents about his feet without her apparent notice, he gave a deep, exaggerated sigh of annoyance to attract her attention to it.

“Would you please collect your things?”

“You’d do well to be more observant.”
