A gold-scaled Kobold currently under the employment of Timer, Hax hails from the same land of Ixal. Though not personally acquainted with Ixal, he worked for the royal court of Lord Aurithax under a master blacksmith Kobold he was an apprentice to. Like most of his kind, he is fiercely devoted to their dragon lord with a love of technology and building. Extremely talented but also competitive with the Kobolds under Lord Xazorath. Under that competitive spirit led Hax to create and invention against a rival that had gone awry due to the haste that it was built injuring several Aarakocra and Kobolds. Though no one knew what exactly, Hax realized to his shame that it was his fault but not on purpose.

Timer had figured out what had happened as he was around when the incident occurred. Needing a blacksmith to expand his inventory and services, he "coerced" the Kobold to join his business lest he accidentally leak that information out. Reluctantly Hax agreed to join and submitted a leave of absence to "expand his knowledge of the outside world." In reality, most of the Kobolds from Cormyr are happy there and usually have no desire to leave. Same for Hax unfortunately.

Despite all this, he is paid well for his work and has avoided Timer's bad side due to his respectful and obedient nature. Hax knows how dangerous the tabaxi can be. He is responsible for creating weapons and armor for Timer's clients. He will get excited seeing foreign technology and speaking with fellow artificers/inventors.
