Btw there’s 110% a story behind this in which I insist that if they didn’t intend for H-neun to either become a Magius or always have been on (like a certain young lady) they did a bloody good job foreshadowing it (mostly bc I refuse to accept his actual fate) his eyes were the same colour as the Runes and I swear that means something. *:･ﾟ✧

Valvrave week → Day 7: Favourite Ship / Favourite Friendship - H-Neuen & X-Eins

Remember those two? They totally broke my heart. More than once.

Alternative end to the anime. 

Water broke through glass and metal, filling the cockpit of the Erpf129-z5 Kirschbaum. Though a smile was placed on the pilot’s lips as the waves broke over him, his last words were just as joking as the person they addressed.

“H-neun, even at a time like this, I know you’d be cracking wise...” As the last breath was taken as suddenly…

… X-eins woke up, pearls of cold sweat running down pale skin. The Dorssian sat upright in his bed taking deep breaths a going through the experience of drowning. Grey orbs stared into the darkness in front of them and a hand ran through dark blue hair. This had only been a dream hadn’t it? Insecurity took hold of the tactician and made his chest feel heavy. It felt so real. What was dream and what was reality? He could remember every detail of the dream which what unusual but maybe caused by his unstable emotional condition at the moment. It was not his own status that concerned the pilot, more it was the condition of his friends and most the one of H-neun. He could only remember the message of his friend’s death. But had it really happened?

These thoughts occupied X-eins’ mind to such an extent that there was no chance to go back to sleep before knowing an answer to his questions. And there was only one way to get them. Getting out of the bed the male didn’t even care for dressing up completely and just put on his glasses and ran out of the room. Thanks to the artificial gravity the blunet ran down the hallways to reach his friend’s room. He didn’t care for the cold metal floor against his feet or that anyone could see him there slightly panicking. Logic was almost losing to emotions.

As X-eins reached his destination his fingers trembled, typing in the code on the key panel. Of course he knew the code to H-neun’s room since it was his job to kick the brunet’s ass out of the bed most of the mornings. There was no reason to not trust each other enough to know something like the door code. The metal door opened and showed an empty dark room. The panic had won.

“No.” The first audible word since the male had woken up. Everything looked as if H-neun hadn’t been here for days. “It can’t be.” Tears began to form at his eyes as X-eins fell down on his knees crying over the loss of his friend. So this had been true. H-neun was gone, dead. They would never see each other again. And the last words they’d exchanged had been anything but special. It had almost been an argument. And to be true he should have listened to his friend’s words. A pale shaking head reached up to his left ear to touch the cold metal of a blue earring. It was everything left, a last artefact of memories.

“X?” In faint light of the hallway a figure appeared in the doorframe behind the kneeling ravenet. Surprised, almost shocked, the addressed male turned around only to see a ghost. A tall brunet with partially dyed hair stood there as if there had been nothing, as if they weren’t at war at all talking in his usual casual way.

“H? H-neun?” It was a faint whisper of disbelieve. The brunet entered the room and turned on the light after closing the door. “What are you doing here? Had a nightmare?” It was more a joke but he didn’t know how true was. But he should learn in the next moment he felt arm swinging around his neck. Emerald orbs widened in surprise and as he noticed hot tears on his skin there was nothing more to say. “Hush, I’m here everything is fine.”

X-eins clung to his friend and recognized bandages under the other’s shirt on H-neun’s shoulder. So not everything had been a dream. But they would have time to talk about it. The brunet placed his healthy arm around his crying friend together with a kiss on top if dark blue hair. After minutes that felt like eternity the tears stopped running down pale cheeks. They didn’t spoke much but it wasn’t necessary at all. They knew each other long enough to tell what was going on without using words.

A yawn left H-neun’s mouth as he sat down on his bed. “I just came back from the hospital ward because they just let me go. Sleeping in my own bed is just better. You can stay here for the night if it helps you.” The brunette smiled just like he usually did and patted beside him on the mattress.

This was an invitation the ravenet couldn’t take down even if he had already calmed down. Taking off his glasses he sat down on the offered bed as sleepiness came back to him. It wouldn’t be his first time sleeping in the same bed as his friend. Well, they had always been a bit more than friends maybe but neither of them had wanted to discuss this topic ever. So as long and neither complained it was fine between them. As H-neun laid down he offered the place beside him with a smile and X-eins took it thankfully. Nothing else but this had calmed him down in this night. And with a small breath of a kiss on the other’s cheek grey eyes closed.

           “Please don’t leave again.”

EXPLAIN H9X1

OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE HOW DARE YOU TRIGGER THIS-

A-hem, this might be a bit long because I just really love these two together they're one of my ENDGAME OTPs and  bless them

Alright. Because I have a happier head canon between these two I'll just go through this on a happier note cuz it's not like they're both dead or anything:

Who cooks: X-eins. H-neun will most likely destroy the kitchen. And I'm not sure if Ikusu will let H-neun cook in the first place lmao it'd be more of the "get out of the kitchen you don't want to burn down another stove top do you"

Who does the laundry and other chores: X-eins. H-neun messes up the house, X-eins does all the cleaning. He routinely scolds H-neun, "the living room is littered with your clothes. Pick them up or I'm throwing them out." "No, Ikusu, you can't just throw out my clothes!" "I WLL DO IT IF YOU DON'T CLEAN UP."

How many children do they have: I thought L-elf, A-drei and Q-vier were their children They'd  adopt one daughter and one son. To be fair, I think both H-neun and X-eins will want a daughter and a son because H-neun would be such a sucker for his daughter at the same time of being a really good dad, and X-eins will be a really good model for his children. He won't openly show it, but he'd be a total softie for his kids, too. 

Who’s more dominate: H-neun, no doubt. I have a head canon that X-eins tries to be top every once in awhile, but H-neun just kinda lets him do it until the last minute where he flips the table and teaches Ikusu-chan his rightful place lol. X-eins is too shy to try and dominate H-neun and since H-neun is the more openly affectionate one, he'd be the one to show how much he loves Ikusu!

Favorite nonsexual activity: H-neun and X-eins have personalities on opposite sides of the globe, so I have no idea what they'd do together. Ikusu seems like the type to read or be on the computer a lot while H-neun either plays video games or surfs the internet, but I guess they could do something cute together like cook or bake? Or perhaps they could  build little models of Valvraves and Waffes. 

Their favorite place to be together: Each other's rooms or workout area. I officially deem that the only place Ikusu can be 100% comfortable is H-neun's room. It's not even his own room; it's H-neun's. H-neun takes it as a huge privilege whenever X-eins grants him permission to enter his room and compared to H-neun's room, X-eins's room is 50 times more organized and neat, so H-neun has the pleasure of making it into ruins lmao I also think they work out together a lot, so their workout area is also a place they like to be at together. 

Any traditions: I have a head canon that for their birthdays, they take their Waffes and fly it up to the other person's window and write messages for each other in the sky. H-neun gets super happy when X-eins does this for him but X-eins gets all tsun and, "w-why would you do something like that" but he's actually happy, too, so shh.

Their “song”: Sen wo Yoru wo Koete by. Aqua Timez. I personally like the version sung by Okiayu Ryoutarou & Itou Kentarou better, but that's just me. First, I really love that song, and second, I feel that both of them should sing this to each other because they died without making clear of their feelings to one another. What they do for each other on holidays: They celebrate the typical holidays, like New Years and Christmas, but they also celebrate Valentines Day. At the beginning of January, H-neun runs errands and gets paid so he could give X-eins a surprise gift (mostly chocolate lmao) and meanwhile X-eins makes his own chocolate (after failing like 50 times but he knows how to work the mechanics so maybe he has better chances than just hand-making them; or he's stubborn and tries to make handmade chocolate and A-drei, L-elf, and Q-vier are the victims of tasting lmao) for H-neun, and they exchange it. It'd also be cute if they did a thing for Christmas where they buy each other presents, meet up at one of their rooms, count to three and show each other what they got. 

Where did they go for their honeymoon: Where would they go on space.. like.. Earth? It'd be comical to say that they had their honeymoon on Mars or something but that's ridiculous. Probably a different building of the Dorssian territory.. or maybe they just go to Earth and venture around a bunch of places together because they love spending time together.

Where did they first meet: Through the Dorssia Army! Idk exactly where, tho. 

Any pets: H-neun is totally a dog person while X-eins is totally a cat person, so they argue about which to get, but end up getting both because H-neun's endless begging gets to X-eins so he's like, "ok fine you can have a dog.. but let me have a cat, too."

What they fight over: RIDICULOUS THINGS. The most serious thing they could fight over about is Cain, but assuming this is the happy head canon where Cain isn't the bad guy and the Dorssia family was never corrupted, even that'd be ridiculous because it'd be more of the "Cain-sama is so cool" "you can Cain-"sama"- you never shut up about him do you *jealous*" "hey he's my idol ok leave me alone" "I'm better" "shut up H-neun you can't be better than Cain-sama" "yes I can" and if they're not arguing about Cain, they're arguing about what to eat for dinner that night or what color the towels need to be (head canon: X-eins is freaking OCD). They'd be total dork cuties on daily basis, tho.

Do they go on vacations, if so where: I don't know where they'd go, though. Maybe they like to leave the Dorssia territory on their Waffes and go to the other planets just to shit with them (that's more H-neun than X-eins sorry lmao) or maybe just to Earth to enjoy themselves. What if X-eins and H-neun love the beach so they go to Florida or something for vacation lmao wow that's difficult to imagine. 

Thank you for asking me about these two dorks. I had a difficult time trying to convince my friends that they were boyfriends, but by the end of the 2nd Season they believed me and now I have more people on this ship. I really needed to get this out of my system, so thank you (and please feel free to ask me about these two more I LOVE THEM OK).
