「 Georgia’s day started off right during the flower festival. Roses to greet her in the morning, and cookies made from the heart. What more can a girl ask for? “Oh, Laney...” She took the time to smell the roses, taking it all in before reading the note that came with the gift. As always, Laney knew what to say to brighten her day and make her feel special. Georgia feels the same and she hopes to express this too with the surprise she has for her birthday. 」

「 In a small light blue box is a fabric strap watch that Georgia picked out as both a flower-festival and a birthday gift for Laney. She tried searching for one in blue, but the soft pink colors suited Laney too. She placed the box right on her bed, along with a long star-patterned poncho. It wouldn’t be too useful now, but come the colder weather, Georgia is sure Laney would appreciate the warmth it can bring. She doesn’t bother leaving a note cause when tomorrow comes, she’ll personally be there with pancakes in the morning to greet Laney a happy birthday ❤ 」

Family mattered the most for Cam, even if he’s not the best at showing it. Despite being used to living away with his mother, things were different when it came to Laney. They both had separate lives and personalities that sometimes contrasted each other, but he enjoyed her company and treated her both like a good friend and a dear sister. They might be distant relatives, but bonds were stronger than blood relations and through the years, Laney and her dad were always there for him. Now it’s his turn to return the favor, even through small amounts.

Cam passed by the familiar room of the cooking club. He’s a member, not an active one, but a member all the same. He’d attend a few of the activities to support it and stay updated like a decent club member. right now, he was positive they did not have any activities planned. Still, as soon as he opened the doors of the room, the aroma of freshly baked desserts greeted him. Near the ovens was the culprit-- or rather, the baker. It was Laney.

She always liked to occupy the kitchen as often as she can. Be it to create new recipes or to improve her current ones... but lately, she was always there. Cam needed work with how he reads people, but something told him there was something wrong with how Laney was acting right now.

“What are you baking?” Closing the door behind him, Cam approached Laney with a small wave. Out of habit, he grabbed a nearby apron to help if she needed it. “I thought you’d be here... you’ve been coming here too often than usual.” There was a pause and an incredibly amount of hesitation present in Cam. He’s not too used to heart to hearts, and Laney looked cheerful as always. He could be wrong in this, but he just had to ask...
